Poured from a 12 oz bottle (05/08/17) ,into a Funky Buddha snifter.

Thick frothy white colored head that stands 1 finger tall, with good retention and sticky lacing.Hazy gold colored body, with low clarity and distorted light showing through the glass.Heavy amount of sediment, and low carbonation.

On the nose I get heavy amounts of citrus hops, mango and pineapple, along with piney hop notes. These are balanced by sweet biscuit and caramel malts. This IPA has a very nice, very pleasant aroma to it.

On the palate I get tropical hops, mango and pineapple up front, and bitter piney hops on the back end, with sweet biscuit malts balancing throughout. This is a very good tasting, very well balanced hop forward IPA with a bit of a dank taste.Very nice beer.

The body is medium heavy, with a sticky mouth feel and a medium dry finish.Good amount of oxidation on the tongue.

This is a very good IPA.Nice bitter backbone with a good balance of citrus and pine hops, and sweet malts.Very smooth, very drinkable. One I will definitely revisit in the future, and would recommend to any hop head to at least try.

This is a pleasant IPA that I can best describe as solid. It smells and tastes fine. It's definitely a good beer to keep handy, meaning that because it's available in pint cans, keeping it at the back of the fridge makes it a great substitute when you run out of various beers that you like to keep in a regular rotation. You could do much worse.

Im really liking the scent of this beer, sweet and citrus with some melon and malt on the edge. The nose is a bit better but the taste follows fairly well with initial bitterness flowing into citrus and malt flavors with the ever so slight bitterness lasting through the finish of this beer. Fairly well balanced. Not very bitter for an IPA. This has a bit less carbonation than your normal IPA and decent flavor coating on the palate. Good solid beer where the overall might be a bit better that the individual parts.

Poured from 12oz bottle into pint glass. Dark gold in color, clear with a fluffy wheat head that settles into a thin lacing. Citrus/lemon hop aroma with a bit of sweet toasted malt. Lots of citric hop bitterness nicely balanced by more toasted malt sweetness. Pleasantly dry finish.

A really solid American IPA that can distinguish itself in a beer market that is now flooded with American IPAs. Good stuff.

Bottle into a snifter appears clear copper with a white head that fades leaving a wall of lace.

Aroma is herbal and citrusy with sweet graininess.

Taste is herbal and vegetal before some caramel malt sweetness.

Medium in body with modest carbonation, pretty average IPA.

My favorite IPA. The smell is phenomenal; very floral. The best smelling brew I've had the pleasure to sniff. The taste is very similar to the scent. Perfect amount of bitterness. Superbly balanced. Simply good stuff.

BItter, tasty, easy to drink, clean beer. Not too dank. I am sure I am higher than the average on this beer but it just does it for me. And the price point is great. I get 6 = 16 ounce cans for $8.99.

Look: pale, a little yellowish with lots of frothy head
Smell:very hoppy with citrus
Taste: dry, lots of bite, a lot of citrus, strong hop flavours
Feel: full bodies, rich in flavour
Overall: very nice beer, leaves you wanting more! I found the smell of the beer very attractive, it takes me back to working in the drying kiln on a hop farm many years ago, that peculiar and distinctive hop smell.

Look: Pours a deep, cloudy gold with a light white head

Smell: sweet and citrusy

Taste: I generally don't like IPAs but this is honestly a perfect balance of citrus and bitter hops. I think it's the best IPA I've ever tasted.

Feel: perfect consistency

Overall: This is my favorite standard IPA (i.e. no added flavors like Mocha or Grapefruit) ever!

Poured from a bottle into a standard shaker pint glass.

L: Somewhat cloudy and very golden--less amber and more golden than many IPAs. Two finger head (although I poured a bit too aggressively); white-ish head that dissipated quickly with very little lacing.

S: Very pleasant on the nose--hoppy and floral. A lot of citrus and hints of pine (maybe not pine, but some evergreen-ish aroma). A bit of malt lingers, too.

T: Very good taste, but not outstanding (relative to all the other excellent IPAs that have flooded the market in recent years). Citruses dominate with hints of lavender and rye. Malty, but not as much as I expected from the aroma.

F: Dry and refreshing. The beer is moderately effervescent, and the fizziness lingered through the final sip.

O: Overall very good beer. It doesn't distinguish itself from many of the others of its genre, but I would absolutely purchase it again.

Somehow at festivals, when palate exhaustion sets in, this is the callibrator. Thoroughly fermented, delicate somehow, cascade yes but is their a floral noble streak. Criticized as common, but to me it reminds me why we love IPAs.

Pours a dark orange haze, darker than most in this style. Extensive lacing and slightly off white head.

Smell is subdued for the style, some citrus and sweetness.

The taste is remarkably well balanced for an American IPA. Citrus hops with a solid malt backbone. No residual bitterness in the finish. With the low carbonation medium body and almost perfect hop to malt balance...this is the most drinkable 6%+ IPA I've had. The best of the Sweetwater bunch.

Nice lacing. Unfiltered and home brew like haze and taste since its unfiltered. Nice light ambor color. Taste is nicely balanced. Grassy citrusy taste from dry hops. As close to home brew as you could expect from a comercial brewer. Pleasantly surprised with thier beers.

pours a cloudy amber with a solid head.

smell is sweet, nothing very noticeable going on here. not bad but not great either.

for a 6.3% beer this has a nice hop bite. i'm pleasantly surprised by this. crisp bitterness and finishes with some lingering bitterness. this is actually pretty good.

my first SweetWater Beer as they just came to NJ recently. low-ish in abv but a full IPA flavor.

I could smell almost no difference at all between it and the Goin' Coastal seasonal, which has pineapple in it. The hops hit your senses immediately when you drink it, with a nice, malty finish. Slightly more bitter than I like, but otherwise a fine beer. This is an occasional beer for me, not one I'd go for regularly.

I had this served from tap in a pint glass. Nice looking, amber color. Citrus aromas. The taste a little stronger/more bitter than i usually like, however, it tasted very good.

Overall, very good and one that I would drink again.

The pinnacle of southern India Pale Ale. The SweetWater IPA is highly crisp, carbonated, refreshing, and classy. In cans or in bottles, this brew is perfect for summer shenanigans. No other IPA comes close to this. SweetWater IPA is the standard for which all other IPAs aspire to meet.

Single bottle copped from Total Wine and More. A surprisingly decent IPA. Faint notes of grapefruit and pine linger in the nose and on the tongue. Medium-bodied mouthfeel. Smooth and easily drinkable. Not bad.

Sweet water IPA is my standard brew. I almost always have it in my kegerator here at home, and in bottles when traveling. It's a great beer brewed in the south.

-Spiegelau ipa glass. best before 04.18.16. consumed 07.15.16. Cheers to sweetwater for transparency for a big noticeable BB dating, jeers for me for failing to notice at purchase.

A: Rustic orange pour is unfiltered in nature, dense, with a bready texture, light tan head of one inch. Very good rate of retention, strong show of carbonation, but weak window dressing.

S: Grapefruit and tangerine, some backdoor lime and wet herbaceous notes, dank, with sweet toasted malt and a bit of some lemon-grassy hopping. Aromatic strength is rather light but forgivable due to age factor.

T: Sweet lemony toasted grains and hops of nice bittering levels provides a citrusy bite with a hint of lime on the close. Moderately strong hopping, age appears not to be a factor, with some wet lemon-orange and grapefruit hops. Light tropical and breakfast fruit, melon hints softly interject. Dry toasted malt and light flowery warmth.

M: Nice sharp bite, aggressively carbonated, lush malting, dry toast and citric twang off tongue.

O: Nice balance, nice strong lemony-citric hop twang, deep toasted malting backs things up. Nice rate of drinkability, very good and outstanding overall ipa.

On tap. Poured an orange color. I have been waiting to try this beer for a while. My initial thoughts were of this beer being a solid IPA with a wider southern distribution. I was not surprised or disappointed. It had a very nice balance to it. Hop forward but also complemented by malt. Citrusy, grassy, fairly potent. Well brewed. Had it very close to the source and it was super fresh. Happy to have had it.

I just drank this beer in the shower. It was very smooth and seemed sessionable. It was more like a sweet pale ale than traditional IPA. Very east drinking.

A - Deep copper color, wonderful carbonation, pillowy cap.
S - Hints of citrus, nice malt base, very nice floral element.
T - Followsmthe nose perfectly, nothing out of wack.
M - Medium in body, soft on the palate. Well rounded.
O - A very nice Hybrid English IPA, the draft version was treated well, at this location.

A: Copperish golden orange, decent head.
S: Strong smell of grass, hops, and maybe some fruit like grapefruit.
T: Decent amount of hop bitterness strikes at first, but mellows into a citrus-like aftertaste. Very strong, robust flavor, but not too bitter.
M: Light bodied and moderately carbonated.
O: Very good IPA. I'd recommend everyone to try this one. Delicious flavor and smell on this session IPA.
