Very good balance. Cannot taste the high alcohol content. Light for a stout. Very much enjoying.

On tap. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of bourbon, chocolate, toffee and roasted malt. Very sweet and boozy with chocolate and bourbon flavors.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a very thin, poorly retained tan head that left no lacing. Smells and tastes of roasted malts, bourbon, bitter sweet chocolate, coffee, vanilla and a little char. Full bodied, viscous mouth feel, minimal carbonation.

From the growler via DEPS in at Partytown in Northern KY. This fine stout
pours a rich and oily blackish brown with a modest head of light tan foam
that settles to a thin ring, subtle light layer, and shows subtle light lacing.
Nose of strong bourbon, marshmallow, char, chocolate, woodsy vanilla,
and medium amounts of coffee. Flavors hit the right note with chocolate,
coffee, and light char mingling on waves of bourbon and marshmallow with
black strap molasses and vanilla undertones. Nice mouth feel; full body,
coating, slick, warming, low carbonation, and a slick coating finish with a
warming belly.
Overall this is a bourbon drinkers love with a moderately sweet stout influence.
Excellent.
Cheers

Poured from a 7500 ml heavy brown bottle into a clear glass tulip. 2017 edition.
A: Black body with short cap of frothy dark beige that recedes quickly and leaves no lacing. The beer certain leaves legs though.
S: Sweet caramel, dark chocolate, light coffee, vanilla, and sweet bourbon meld together wonderfully
T: Rumbles over the tastebuds with giant footsteps leaving your palate in its wake. Huge bourbon flavor up front, very sweet like this beer is through and through, meets up against dark chocolate, char, and some nougat-like richness. Finishes with light roast and a bit of coffee. Delicious, definitely a dessert beer all the way. Light alcohol burn but not hot.
M: Lush and full bodied with a layering effect due to lowish carbonation.
O: An outstanding imperial BBA stout. A wide array of flavors and will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth without being cloying. A super surprise!

A deep brown with a one finger tan head with little retention. Prevalent aroma of bourbon and and a detectable sweetness that when tasted was of molasses. The taste of bourbon, oak, and molasses are center stage and the finish is clean with a lingering sweetness. Overall a very good stout.
