Good refreshing beer.

Looks like a clear brown ale

Smells like blueberry pancakes or muffins

Tastes nothing like blueberry especially for having such a strong smell. Semi sweet bread taste so they go together well.

Feel is really carbonated. Very overpowering.

Overall a good beer but only something to enjoy sparatically.

Wheat beer infused with blueberries. Aroma reminds me of blueberry pancakes. Don’t get any flavor of it, though, which is weird. You think if you smell it you’d taste it as well. Structured like normal wheat beer.

This was an OK wheat beer. The blueberries did come through, but were not particularly magical for me.

A golden color. Lots of suspended particles. Little to no head.
Nice blueberry smell followed by wheat funk reminiscent of a a fresh hair perm.
Not as much blueberry in the taste, but some pleasant wheat funk and maltiness.
Fairly light body with some residual sweetness.

M - a bit flat but otherwise acceptable 3

D - quite high especially on a hot summer day. 3.75

Nice light gold color with white cap.

Pleasant aroma of light grain and a noticeable blueberry scent. Very clean fruit scent that doesn't smell artificial.

Taste is of a moderately rich wheat brew that has surprisingly little blueberry flavor. I say surprising because that featured more strongly in the scent. Mild sweet grain on entry quickly followed by some, and I mean little, blueberry flavor that along with some hops build toward the finish. Blueberry is the most prominent flavor in the aftertaste while hops vacate the premises. One would expect sweetness considering the motif but this one is actually dry.

Light medium texture with balancing carbonation.

A very acceptable Summer style brew that offers little resistance to palates challenged by hops.

Well, yes, the blueberry taste does come through clearly. And I will even grant that this is done well because it comes off as not being weird. But (to me) this Sweetwater Blue is just OK as a beverage.

Had this on tap at a grand opening for a nightclub bowling alley. The appearance was clean but cloudy golden color. The smell was fantastic, hints of blueberry along with some lemon and maybe raspberries. The taste to me was outstanding. The blueberry was at the forefront and this beer was smooth.I have had some of sweetwaters offerings before but this is by far my favorite.

A little too sweet for me on this one. The look is pale golden, smell is very sweet and tart, taste is better than I had imagined. A decent beer but nothing I'd drink again unless it was free.

The beer comes in a pale gold color.

The aroma offers sweet blueberry, grains, sugary sweetness, a biscuity malt.

The flavor hits of blueberry candy up front, but flies away quite quickly. Hints of honey, biscuity malt, onto a light hop bitterness. The beer is generally quite watery with light blueberry flavors up front.

Gold in color with a light haze from tiny suspended sediment. There's a fingernail of dull white around part of the top and half of the middle. The aroma is faint blueberries and nothing else. The flavor is actually fairly restrained in terms of blueberry intensity. I can actually pick out pale wheat in the mix and I find that appealing. The mouth is moderately carbonated and dry.

I had this beer once in the summer and can't remember if it was any good, so I'm trying it again.

SweetWater Blue Wheat Ale

This beer has a great appearance to it. Slightly hazy with a golden tint. Noticeable carbonation. Great head, reduces while drinking. Very little lacing left behind.

The smell is a great quality this beer has. Smells like tart blueberries. Almost too much because the taste isn't very apparent.

Almost not able to classify as a fruit beer as the taste of blueberries is very subtle in this brew. Very drinkable wheat beer with a touch of the smell you get.

I really enjoy the feel of this beer. Very drinkable, perfect amount of carbonation.

Overall, the taste could be improved to be a great beer. For me, it's good. Definitely something I'll buy next summer instead of macrobrews I had this year.

Had this at SPTR in Philly at SweetWater's "debut". Nowhere near as much blueberry taste as I remember it having when I drank this during my six years in Athens, Georgia. Still a solid, refreshing choice. Stoked SW made its way to the cold northeast.

This one pours a rather cloudy deep gold in color with a decent white head that settles are a medium rate with minimal lacing on the glass.

The nose is definitely fruity like tart blueberries that aren't quite ripe.

The flavors are nice dry malt with some tart fruit and mild hops.

The mouthfeel is richer than expected and goes down nice.

Overall a very drinkable beer. This trikes me a great hot day beer.

I am a fan of ambitious attempts at fruit and vegetable brews. This one is OK but not great.

It pours to a gorgeous little head and quickly goes down to a tiny fizz. The aroma is fresh and fruity.

The taste is slightly sweet, slightly tart, and ever so slightly bitter blend overwhelmed by blueberry. The aftertaste is fruity but it goes away fairly quickly.

After some special experiences with Sweetwater special limited runs this is a disappointment. Not at all recommended, even for the fans of this style.

(8/7 Bottle) Golden pour, thin head, mild carbonation. Mild aroma, wheat sweet taste, hint of blueberry and malt. Good offering by Sweetwater Brewery!

Nothing like my ultimate, Wachesett Blueberry BUT it's light, summery and blueberry with a slight lemon aftertaste. Smooth but a hint more of blueberry would make it amazing.

Not a fan of blue berry so obviously this isn't my type of brew but I tried it anyway and it isn't bad but it isn't good either. It's fair, and for it being a blue berry hinted beer with that creamy sweet water style it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Nonetheless I wouldn't be picking up a case of this any time in the near future, but for those who enjoy a good blue berry aroma beer, pick this up for sure.

Not sure we are giving this one enough credit, it's very good beer, on tap at the Atlanta airport spot these guys have. A touch sweet, no blueberry color at all, and under carbonated for the style, but it has a lot going for it too. It's really light in body, and the fruit is real authentic. Very very drinkable and nice for summer or with spicy food. I know these fruited blondes are predisposed to be cheap and lousy, but this is far better than the average for the field, so revisit it in an appropriate context and be pleasantly surprised. I'm not always real jazzed about sweetwater beers, but this one is better than it's ratings, especially if you like or can at least tolerate the residual sweetness with notes of blueberry juice. Easy down and not watery, hefty even as it warms. In a hot humid summer setting, it's delicious.

Clear brass with a thin head. Smells like a blueberry muffin. Tastes like a grainy pale lager with blueberry muffin. Mouthfeel is medium body and a little sticky. Eh.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Must...resist...urge...to quote...Eiffel 65... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of dirty white foam. The nose comprises sweet blueberries covered in butter. The taste holds notes of cereal grains and biscuit covering a layer of vague and slightly vinyl-y blueberry syrup. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, this just did not do anything positive for me. The blueberry flavor, whether authentic or not, comes across as fake, and there seems to be a diacetyl thing going on.

Umm, no thank you. Generally like fruit beers but did not find this one enjoyable. Very light gold, almost no head, barely any lacing. There is just an off smell with some strong blueberries in there. Taste is similar, blueberries, but not much else other than something off. Very light, not much substance. Overall not a beer that I will revisit.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is strong of sweet blueberries. Taste is crisp, malty, blueberries, not nearly as sweet as the smell would indicate. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

This beer is a pale yellow, pretty clear and bright overall with just a light haze. The head is a pillowy pure white one that manages about half a finger and sustains itself moderately well, leaving light patching in similar moderation through the session.
The aroma showcases sweet blueberries very strongly, showing some bread, wheat, and sweeter malts while allowing the blueberry to be the main feature. The smell remains strong all the way through, never fading.
The blueberry shows in the flavor, just not as well as the aroma, and comes out with a little more tartness. It gives off more wheat than is noticeable in the nose, and the crackery taste gives it a grainy sense in the middle.
The body is right, and it's light without needing to be heavier, but there's something a little slick in the middle, though it doesn't get carried away. It's nice and soft with a good carbonation and light bite of crispness.

Not a bad brew at all. It reminded me of Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier but not as sweet. It was was surprised a bit by the toasted notes and expected it to be a brighter more floral beer.
