Poured from a can with a best buy date of 6/4/17. The beer pours a clear amber with two fingers of fluffy, white head that left minimal lacing.

The smell is citrus, generally hoppy and floral.

The taste is very thin, floral, and a little sweet malt.

The mouthfeel is thin and slightly oily.

Overall there's not a lot of flavor. There are a ton of better session IPAs out there. I may give it one more try of I see it very fresh.

Great for a session IPA. Bottle art is on it. It is almost boating season and I am back into IPAs primarily so I have been trying the session IPAs to find a good boat staple. This is the best I have tried. I tried it last year and it is what started me back on the hop heavy styles.
L: cool bottle, no pour.
S: Hop presence is there but weak as expected for a session. Malt is as noticable.
T: This is where the beer comes through for me. Wow I can taste the hops in a session IPA. Nothing really heavy, it is a nice rounded piney, citrusy hops, the biscuity malt notes show through. It is somewhat weak flavored but good for a session.
F: It is a lighter beer, kind of watery, as expected.
OVERALL it is a great session ale, low alcohol, good flavor, could put a few away in the sun on the boat.

Very tasty session ale. I really think sessions should have their own category. Anyway. Good carbonation. A little thin but the Amarillo hops shine beautifully on lean malts. Super easy to drink. Very good.

From tap, hazy golden color with nice white head that dissipated quickly. Hops are noticeable but not overpowering. Clean hoppy taste on palate; malts are well balanced - easy to drink.

Nice inviting appearance with decent citrus and floral aromas. Flavors are floral, lemon, tangerine and apricot. Mouthfeel is crisp . . . very nice for a session ipa. Overall, Sweetwater has brewed up a good session ipa for us to enjoy. Above average in my opinion.

12 oz bottle directly from the brewery. BB date of 23 May 2016.

The strength of the aroma is on par for an American IPA, meaning it's nicely strong of a session IPA. The flavor too has some hop clout and good complexity, but seems low on malts (as is the nature of this style). The hop mix has pine, floral, herbal and citrus notes in about that order of strength.

Clear gold-amber body with a very durable white head.

Mouthfeel: medium+ carbonation but a tad thin.

Appearance: Clean golden, with a nice white foam and sketchy lace.

Aroma: Tropical hops. Yum.

Taste: Bitter hops up front, with tropical and grapefruit notes following. Solid session IPA, and no problems here.

Sweetwater Brewing Co. "Hash Session IPA"
12 fl. oz. can, "BIEB""10/02/17" and sampled on 09/05/17
$2 @ Weis, Conshohocken, PA

Look: Clear deep golden body beneath a fluffy head of bright white that holds well and leaves some nice lacing behind.
Smell: Hop resins, citrus including orange and grapefruit, and lightly sweet golden malt.
Taste: Citrusy with lots of orange and a touch of grapefruit as well as some sweet red berries, watermelon, apple, and soft pear. Combined with a lightly sweetish golden malt (basic, and more bready than grainy) it's bright and lively. A firm bitterness balances it and helps to dry the finish.
Feel: Light-medium in body and gently crisp.
Overall: A refreshing, interesting, light, and easy to drink ale.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Savannah. The appearance is clear gold color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is citrus fruit and some mild hops. The taste is a crisp citrus beer with some excellent mild hop flavor.
