Pours a deep garnet color with a tight, beige head that leaves little chunks of lacing.
Smells of deep malts and earthy, pine hops.
Tastes of the caramel malts layered with some nice hops. Malts lead off with notes of toasted bread, raisins, toffee, and some caramel. Hops add in with some pine and earthy notes. Some tropical fruits add towards the end before a hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel is medium-full with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a nicely done red.

A thanks to the admiral of amber ales, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a very dark brown color with amber hues and a 1 inch head. Smell is of malts, some citrus. Taste is well balanced malts and hops, a bit of citrus, a touch of alcohol is present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a good quality beer.

Pours a deep brownish red color with a big two finger tan head that falls slow and laces very well.
Aroma is kind of mellow for the IBU's listed some caramel malt notes, light pine and citrus hops notes a little spicy. EH nothing great here.
Taste is better then the nose a good chewy caramel background with some hops riding on it. Hops are dank citrus and pine over all still mellow but there there not overly bitter but make for an enjoyable enough malty amber with a small hop kick.
Mouthfeel is bigger medium with fairly mellow carbonation.
Overall not great taste is OK nose not great but it does go down easy enough, maybe just not my cup of tea tonight.

16 oz can poured into a tall mug. Bottom of can dated 7/14/17.
Pours a dark reddish brown color with a durable light tan head that leaves sheets of lacing behind.
Aroma: earthy, floral, piney -- not harmonious.
Flavor: Piney hop character with dark roasted malts. Mild-moderate bitterness. The ABV is partially hidden.
Feel: medium-full body with medium carbonation.
O- A tasty and hoppy red that tastes better than it smells.

I am breaking out my box of Crayola crayons for New Colorful Beer Sunday (Week 646), drinking & reviewing some CANned beers with colors in their names. I had stocked my reefer with CANs for the 4th of CANuly & since I did not run through all of them as planned + I do not want to pull them out since they are already chilled, only one option remains - DRINK 'EM!
From the CAN: "Don't Float the Mainstream!"; "A Series of Rarely Released Randomness From the Hombres of Headiness!"; "CAN Conditioned for Fresher Taste"; "Dressed to get pressed at the fest, El Danko took one whiff of his stash of Simcoe, Mosaic and Waimea hops and dove straight in. Feeling no pain with lots to gain, El D saddled up next to a big bodied mahogany/red beauty of an ale looking to mingle a blast of his stash of tropical citrus aromas with her big bodacious sweet maltified body. Overindulging as always, Danko peaked at 7.5% ABV, ausing him to spin with the spinners 'til he spun out and was left face up in the field. Eyes open but case closed."
I was tempted to CANduct an inverted Glug following the Crack! of this CAN's opening, but a pounder CAN just leaves me too open for disaster to strike. Instead, a slow Glug followed by an in-glass swirl produced just over a finger of dense, rocky, light-tan head with good retention. Color was Coppery-Brown (SRM = > 17,

L - Great looking 1 finger head. Great retention. Frothy. Deep dark brown with red hues.
S - Low aroma - Hops. Mostly pine... Maybe some citrus. Slight tart fruit and some caramel.
T - Some decent bitterness. Strong pine and some tart fruit. Some sourness / vinegar. Sweetens up a bit with malt and caramel. Trails off and dries out. Some pine sap aftertaste and charted wood.
F - Medium bodied. Stays carbonated.
O - Good beer. Decent hop bitterness. Could use more late addition flavor hops. Hoped for more malt richness. I was also thinking that an imperial should be up in the 9% ABV range and IBUs should be 90 or more. More like a double maybe? Good though.

Pours a dark reddish brown (much darker than mahogany) with thick creamy khaki colored head, sheet of thin lace down the glass. Smell: spruce, unripe mango, lemon zest, pineapple upside down cake and a note of rando berry compote. Taste: berry (blue, black), powdery semi-ripe mango, punchy pine, lemon candy, jammy mix of orange and apricot. Sweet fruit throughout with moderate bitterness building towards the end of the sip. A little more oomph and it would be in strong ale territory. Where it sits as-is, still good, but kind of sweet and unfocused.
