A fresh and refreshing way to find that chill spot this summer. This cucumber flavored Belgian-style saison is light in body and laid back in spirit. Notes of fresh cucumber and lime flavors come through in this hazy golden summer crusher.

If Budweiser set out to make a Saison, this might be it. Not much Saison-like characteristics. Just a mild summer cooler. Pours a clear gold color, it takes a hard pour to turn it hazy. Small fizzy white head that fades fairly fast. There are thick frothy bands of lacing all over the glass. Aroma and taste are just a mild malty beer with a little funk and some cucumber/cucumber juice. Mouthfeel is light. A fairly good lawnmower beer/thirst quencher. Nothing more.

Can't imagine why Sweetwater bothered to bottle this and ship it out. I know offering different styles is fashionable right now, but..... This is almost undrinkable.

A: Pours a medium golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and faint to moderate burnt orange + golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of medium thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of cucumber, spicy/peppery saison yeast, floral hops, and pale malts.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of pale + wheat malts with just a hint of grainy sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of spicy/peppery saison yeast and light to moderate flavors of cucumber. Finally there is a light flavor of floral hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades pretty quickly leaving a lingering spicy/peppery yeastiness.

M: Light to medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness in the finish.

O: Pretty enjoyable for a cucumber beer (they can be real hit and miss in my opinion so I never know if I will enjoy one or they will be too intensely cucumber for me). Easy to drink and overall light in flavor with a little more presence of cucumber in the nose.

Pours a clear gold producing a shy 2 finger white, foamy, short-lived head that leaves a nice half inch belt of pasty lacing. Aroma is delicate Belgian yeast mustiness, banana, citrus, spice, vegetal cucurbit, floral & pale malt. Taste is a pleasant Belgian Saison funk with notes of banana, pale malt, clove, pepper & a hint of bitter cucumber rind & apple. Finishes fruity with spice hints that diminish rapidly to become a bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with moderate-high carbonation, crisp & peppery in the finish, drying in the astringent aftertaste. Not great but certainly better than some of the reviews would indicate.

I know it says "cucumber", but it tastes way more like pickle. Pickles are good. I like pickles, especially dill. Sweet pickles aren't awesome and don't get me started on butter and sugar. Beer and pickles aren't supposed to be married.

L- Light, sifted-through adjunct lager look, small kinda foamy head.
S-Definetly that saison yeast. Some cucumber. Slight sour note thats maybe a little appealing? Not sure... But not much else.
T-Imagine, lemon, bread-y yeast, and hops all watered down by kinda fancy hotel cucumber water. That's what the flavor is in my opinion.
F-Light bodied.
O-Dont waste your time. The saison equivalent to sweet water blue. Sweet water really does brew some good beers, and I see where they were trying to going with this one. But... no. Just no.
