From a can: This is the worst beer I can remember tasting. I like cucumber saison if properly done (best I've had were from other home brewers) but this was terrible. I only gave it three sips before pouring it out. It left a very bitter turnip green sensation at the back of my throat. I could not recognize saison or cucumber on the palate. Luckily this was in a tackle box pack and I had a SW 420 to quickly refresh my palate.

L- Light, sifted-through adjunct lager look, small kinda foamy head.
S-Definetly that saison yeast. Some cucumber. Slight sour note thats maybe a little appealing? Not sure... But not much else.
T-Imagine, lemon, bread-y yeast, and hops all watered down by kinda fancy hotel cucumber water. That's what the flavor is in my opinion.
F-Light bodied.
O-Dont waste your time. The saison equivalent to sweet water blue. Sweet water really does brew some good beers, and I see where they were trying to going with this one. But... no. Just no.

Appearance: Clean golden amber, with a nice frothy white head.

Aroma: Smooth, with spicy yeasts detectable pretty quickly.

Taste: Peppery, with a touch of bitterness. The cucumber seems really subtle in the mix here, but this is a solid and very drinkable saison that’s refreshing and inventive. No problems here.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is cucumbers, did i mention that I am not a cucumber fan? Oh well, onto the flavor. Awesome, it tastes like cucumbers. Not my favorite flavor choice. Maybe Brussel Sprouts will be next.

Pours an effevescent gold with a pinky of pearl white head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Pear & cucumbers

T: Follows the nose, plus dryness up front. A litttle grassyness, more cucumber & dryness as this warms. Finishes with plenty of cucumber, a little grainyness & dryness

MF: Medium body, crisp carbonation

Drinks easy, I've had better cucumber beers though. I could take or leave it, refreshing enough

Cool Breeze Cucumber Saison brewed by SweetWater Brewing Company, with an ABV of 4.90% This Saison pours out a nice golden amber color with a small white head. This is a nice Crystal clear golden brew. There is also some nice spotty lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the somewhat. The smell is rich with spices, grains and malts. Faint hops and cucumber in the smell of this brew. The look and smell are really inviting. Now for the taste, it is bold with citrus sweetness and cucumber. You can really pick up on the cucumber in the taste of this brew. There is also some nice spices and mild hops. The body of Cool Breeze Cucumber Saison is a soild medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. This brew goes down nice and smooth. Feeling smooth as a Cucumber, no pun intended. I really like how this brew is different from most brews on the market. This brew takes a different approach. The mouth feel of Cool Breeze Cucumber Saison is cucumber, Bold, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. This brew goes down nice on hot summer day. Overall I'm giving this Saison a 4 out of 5. I would look this brew up again givin the chance to. SweetWater Brewing Company, did a real nice job with this brew. If you are looking for something different look this brew up.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of yeast, spices, hints of cucumber. Taste is cucumber, much stronger than in the aroma, spices, dry at the finish. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a unique beer, and not bad.

Cool Breeze Cucumber Saison | SweetWater Brewing Company.Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, the head is two fingers thick, with solid lacing and a clear medium gold body.

I smell spices& a dash of the lime. Not really picking up on the cucumber.

Tastes like cucumber&lime... in beer! Not really anything resembling a saison. Probably a good thing...

Medium-light mouthfeel with carbonation

Overall, I'll give Cool Breeze Cucumber Saison | SweetWater Brewing Company a 3.5. Why cucumber?

I took a gamble and bought a 6-pack of this beer. Normally, that's not something I like to do just in case the beer tastes gross and I'm stuck hate-drinking the rest of the beer, if it's maybe tolerable.

As for this saison, it's definitely a bit different and funky. You definitely taste the cucumber. I was hoping that this would be one of those light, refreshing summer beers. To me, I don't get a lightness to it. Instead, there's a cloying, heavy feel on the palate.

I poured from a can into a chalice. First sip caught me by surprise, tarter than I expected. The flavors are more subtle than expected but still tasty. The finish is bone dry. With the low ABV, this will be a great thirst quencher this Summer.

SweetWater Brewing - What in the hell were you thinking?

Let me preface the following review by writing that I do like cucumbers, they go great with practically any salad I eat. Given this, I have to say cucumbers in beer is just plain awful. The beer looked nice enough, and it even smelled nice enough - a nice blend of cucumbers and citrus that in no way translated to the liquid. About the only other redeeming quality of the beer was it's mouthfeel - medium-bodied and crisp.

I am a fan of SweetWater, but this concoction was just not for me...
