12 oz can with a 16 August 2020 BB date stamp on the bottom. Purchased in a mixed 420 Strain 12 pack. Served in a lager glass.
Aroma. Skunky, dank weed, citrus notes and piney hops with a faint bready note.
Flavor. While the flavor suggests weed more than hops, the flavor is dominated by dank hops and sports less citrus and more toasted grain s. Moderately bitter and strong for the style with well hidden ABV.
Feel. Medium body with soft but lively, medium carbonation. Well hidden ABV.
Overall: a unique DIPA that's worth seeking out.

12 oz can, best by 7/20/20, into Ploughshare glass.

Has a west-coast like appearance with a distinct clarity but the clarity only permeates halfway and then the other side is hazy, as in, shadow-fingers, not fingerprints. So in that regard I guess it is "hazy". Color is honey-blonde, and has a tall creamy cap of 2 fingers. Recedes to 1/2 finger.

Aroma is distinctly bud/cannabis, with underlying tones of very green melon, tangerines/rind, and grapefruit. I'd say the cannabis aroma is not as loud as Mango Kush and B-Real, and perhaps not as strong as G13. Shrug. It's not a big deal to me. Still impressive what they've done with this strain.

Flavor brings an interesting un-sweet melon note but as stated it's not particularly sweet, it's just there, like towards the rind part; then I get orange peel and sweet tangerine, with slight nips of grapefruit on the finish but all of this is wrapped up in an herbal cannabis blanket. At first it was kinda, "meh", but it's growing on me, big time.

Feel is resiny, sharp, JUICY (yusss), and has a wonderful carbonation level and moderate alcohol heat.

Overall, a very well-crafted WEST COAST India Pale Ale, I wouldn't call it NE in the slightest, but has a lot of wonderful sharp hoppy fruity notes wrapped up in the signature cannabis strain that is this line's signature.

Price paid : part of variety 12 pack, $15.99
Would buy again : yes, even on its own

Yes, it is hazy, straw color with a nice big foamy white head, lacey; Has a rich no doubt about it aroma; the taste is nice, a little unusual, citrusy, not really sweet but definitely not sour, tart. Mouthfeel -It has a slight sharpness. I'd like more carbonation. A little different. Good, not great. Glad I got it, not disappointed. It's a one-off, so I may never see it again.

The description on the can is apt. "The Strain keeps rolling along with this hazy double IPA.Aromas of citrusy orange hit first with a caboose full of vanilla and pine notes following. Billowing dank aroma and strain-specific terpenes jump the whole thing off the rails."

Pours a dull golden color, sediment in suspension but not hazy per se. Smell: weedy pop, lemon, melon rind, dried orange. Taste: orange, dried mango, biscuit, honey, grassy, bell pepper. Medium bodied, creamy/fluffy, highly carbonated, dryish but sugary finish. Decent.

Loved this series.
a) barely hazed, totally laced, massively lasting head and lace round the amber body.
s) straight ahead hops/malt/caramel, candied orange rind aroma, classic API/DIPA.
t) Slightly sweet, definitely hempy follows the smell and delivers pleasure at cask temp. Bud & bite.
f) Good weight, tongue teaser.
o) Everything I look for in a DIPA without being over done.

Just found this at the local liquor store - the best yet! I love their Mango Wheat, and this one is far and away the best! It's not as cloudy as they say it is, but it does taste great.

A: There's no haze in this one, even after the can is emptied into the glass. It pours an orange ocher with a short-lived white bubbly head.

S: Melon, citrus, and weed.

T: Green melon, weed, kava, citrus bite, roses (?), grapefruit.

M: Good carb bite, smooth, medium feel.

O: I like the flavor but it doesn't match up to the regular 420 G13. I was also a bit disappointed in the appearance - no haziness. Despite these factors, I liked this beer. It's got that dank weed flavor while keeping the citrus/melon/hop flavors present. I think the 420 G13 is a better buy. If they upped the haziness and some of the soft juicy flavors, this would be a steal.

A 12oz bottle picked up in early March at Total Wine, Atlanta

L - Golden with a touch of clarity, not as hazy as I expected. 1 full finger of head

S - Tropical hops, with some dank aroma

T - Very similar to their standard IPA, just packs more punch. Very tasty

F - Medium body, well carbonated

O - A G13 strain DIPA, which is a bit stronger IPA than their standard with some funk aroma. Excellent!

On a prolonged stay in the peach state and Sweetwater beers are just about everywhere; especially the 420 strains. This one is probably not my favorite among the 420 options (their Mango Kush wheat takes the price among the weed variants), nevertheless this one is a solid double IPA. L: pours a rust orange, only slightly hazy with a decent creamy head. S: orange peel and weed. T: orange, lime, and a hoppy, dank, weed bite. Finishes bitter like a good double IPA should. O: a good double IPA but not the best 420 twist among Sweetwater’s options (if you’re looking for the weedy essence).

Pours only lightly hazy golden with some orange hues thrown in to boot nice fluffy two finger off white falls slow and gobs of lace. Kind of thought this was going to be a NE style with hazy in the name but it is not.

Aroma is tropical fruits and the Strain hop profile which by now everyone knows its like kind bud sensimilla.

Taste is Like the normal strain just little more alcohol punch really. Bready or cracker like malt good citrus notes, pine and some herbal all thrown in to the mix. Ever so light alcohol burn in the finish along with good lingering bitterness. Can is confusing calling it hazy when this isn't really hazy but enjoyable non the less for me.

Mouthfeel is medium with lightly peppy carbonation.

Overall I like the Strain so I like this beer, if you don't like the kind bud in the hop profile then this isn't for you.

Pours an effervescent bronze with 3 fingers of cream colored head. Nice head retention & lacing

S: Smells of weed and then a little orange peel once warm

T: Sweet orange, a touch of lime, some bready dryness, plus a little guava up front. More sweet orange, some cattyness & little green melon as this warms. Finishes catty, dry with just a little lime and sweet orange

MF: Medium body, delicate carbonation, pretty good balance

A decent take on the style, I kind of consider these weed-like IPAs a fad that has lost relevance, but this beer is plenty drinkable on its other merits
