Appearance: Hazy yellow, bright white ring that didn’t stick to a pint glass from draft.
Aroma and Taste: Cloves. Tiny bit of banana. Spices.
Feel: Medium. Good carbonation. Perfect feel.
Overall: Pretty good beer especially if you like hefe.

"Best by 8/23/15"; drank 7/21/15 @ the Yarchives.
Semi -opaque orange/yellow appearance.
HUGE fluffy & noisy eggnog head (careful pouring!); strong lace.
Banana, mild citrus & faint black pepper notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Wheat, banana & mild orange citrus flavors up front; mild clove notes on the finish.
A nice, refreshing hefe for the summer months.

From notes 7/4/3: Pours a beautiful, cloudy, deep gold with a huge, foamy, slightly off-white head that leaves too few patches and rings of lace for its size and grandeur. Aroma is ester loaded with wheat, banana and lemon, cloves, bready malt faint grassy hops and a detracting sulfur like hint. Taste is wheat, banana and cloves with hints of coriander, lemon and grassy hops. The sulfur hint is not detectable in the mouth. Mildly sweet in the finish, peppery throughout the sip. Medium body, dry and delicate but heavily carbonated.

In my ceaseful effort to find an American brewed Hefeweizen comparable to Hacker-Pschorr or Paulaner I will occasionally take a flyer and this was a short trip.
As Hefes go this one isn't too shabby. It has the right elements and is fairly well put together, just doesn't quite match up to the German marks but then they've had a few centuries head start in brewing the style. I found this one to be just a touch too tart which for me threw off the balance.
More than drinkable though and wouldn't mind another round.

Bottle into a Mason pint.
A. Light gold straw yellow with a big two finger soapy head.
S. Lots of wheat, light citrus, slightly astringent, wet grass
T. Meh, wheat galore, adjunct kinda taste, wet straw and grass.
M. Thin and watery.
O. I just can't get into this kind of beer, maybe on a hot day and this was ice cold, but wheat beers fill me up fast. This is your average run of the mill kind of heffeweizen
