Sweet water 420. LOL BLAZE #AMIRITE??? It's ya boy down_to_clown_69 comin atchu with a review from beyond the grave. I'm stoned as a boned abalone pinecone from Cologne right now and I don't think anyone knows...right...?

I digress, this beer is a winner. Just like our fair lady, Mary Jay, this drink is the perfect gateway beer to the bigger and better things. You have that wussy friend who says "IPA's aren't for me!" Well slam this mamajamma in his or her face and say "RIP DAT ISH, WERE GOING TO MAGIC MOUNTAIN!"

Magic Mountian is real friends, and it's a watering hole where the Sweetwater 420's are on special, the bar is pizza, and the waitresses are actually genuinely interested in your sad, pathetic lives.

And with that, I'm out. *Puff's tobacco pipe with legal USA grown tobacco, disappears in a coud of metaphorical legal tobacco smoke.*

refrigerated bottle with a best by date on 5/16/17

A - hazy golden yellow, minimal head to a bubbly lace quickly, mild carbonation

S - fruity, pine,

T - citrus, more of a sourness than bitter

M - light all around, sweetness up front, followed by a sourness with a smooth ending

O - Interesting beer, mild on the hops. I will try this again.

Quality lighter Pale Ale. Not a ton of mouth feel (a bit disappointing), but very nice flavor and aroma. I'm a die-hard Lagunitas drinker, so the lighter feel left me wanting a Little Sumpin' more. That said, I would get this beer again.

A - Pale gold body, clear, with a thin, wispy head, fading quickly, and some minimal lacing. The carbonation looks and sounds more like pop than a traditional beer pour.

S - Mild pine, spice, and cracker malts, very much suggesting a hoppy German beer.

T - Follows the nose. Pine is front, just a hint of lemon and floral elements, a cracker-white bread middle, and a punchy bitter bite in the close.

M - Very clean, crisp, and easy to drink.

O - This is a nice, drinkable summer beer, very clean, but without a lot of depth or character. Decent, but not memorable.

Got a good deal on this (the last time I was visiting my Navy pilot son) at the PX on base at NAS Jacksonville. I always seek out nearby micro brews whenever I travel with my family. This was a nice surprise..light tasting, yet a good dose of hops in there. ***** A proud SHOUT OUT to him on his recent deployment to NAS Siganella , Sicily !

The light hoppy flavor it definitely prominent, but the easy drinkability factor and overall flavor is not as appealing as other pale others and even other sweet water brews in comparison.

It is definitely extra pale, and overall, it is worth a try. Very malty and pale ale flavor.

That being said, I'd pick Sweet Water IPA over this beer any day.

Poured from a tap into a pint glass. The color is yellow/amber and very hazy with almost no head. The smell is bready with some citrus and floral notes. The taste follows but also has some thin pine notes. The mouthfeel is highly carbonated and medium thickness. Overall this is ok and would be a decent lawnmower beer.
