Served on tap at Harry's Hofbrau in San Jose. 8oz in a tulip glass.

A: Medium orange, a little bit hazy. Single finger of wispy head that reduced to a bit around the edges but still managed to give the glass a little lacing. Lots of carbonation coming from the bottom
S: Apricot is the first smell to hit my nose, accompanied by a bit of pine. Digging deeper I get a bit of citrusy fruit, some pineapple, grapefuit, mango and some sweet malts. As far as I know this isn't infused with mango, but it sure as heck smells like it. Curious as to what hop/malt combo they used to achieve this.
T: Pineapple, sweet malts and grapefruit right upfront. Orange peel and grapefruit. Malt presence with citrus takes over in the middle mouth followed by a bittering in the finish. Grapefruit peel, grapefruit and orange round out the finish. The aftertaste full of grapefruit lingers between each sip.
M: Medium feel in the mouth, lots of carbonation scrubbing the tongue between each sip. Finishes nice and dry, leaving only a bitter aftertaste.
O: Excellent DIPA. Drinks like an IPA and avoids being too sweet or caramely like some doubles. Nice drinkability makes it really easy to throw back for a 8.5% beer. Would definitely get again, this is one of those hidden gems you stumble across from time to time.

Came out with a lot of sediment and haze all around the beer. Color was orangish. Head was small. Aroma was nice, plenty of mangoey tropical fruit aroma to it, really nailed it in that department, despite having really good hop aroma, they kept the ibu at 79.

Taste, still kept up with the hop mouthfeel as the primary flavor, versus grating bitterness. This had a strong, yet delicate hop touch, I wouldn't be surprised if this had Nelson hops in a small amount here. Amarillos as well. Not just tropical fruit flavor here, plenty of tangerine in here.

One of my favorites at the festival. I love Lake Berryessa, now there's another reason to head out that way. Gonna look to do some camping this summer out this way and tick the hell out of this brewery.

Not much of a head, but really nice amber gold color. No notable smell. Citrusy but not overpoweringly so. It goes down smoother than many IPAs. I had it from tap in Northern California.

Pours a half finger of head on a hazy straw colored body.
The aroma is malty and grapefruit.
The taste is an interesting, but good mixture of pineapple, pine and grapefruit bitterness. It has a long strong bitter finish.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It's a pretty great IPA.

Hazy golden pour to tulip, slight lacing. Nose of flowers, honey, pineapple. Taste is light bitterness and various fruits, mango, strawberry, pineapple, and a piney dank edge. Some malt sweetness balances all the other components. Above medium body and average carbonation.
