9oz pour in a tulip a local bar stool.
The regular Dream Crusher is a fantastic malty DIPA. But aged, mmhmmmm, so tasty. Maybe a bit heavy on the
alcohol heat, but sweet, boozy, and very quaffable. Probably already hard to find outside of DFW. But get your hands
on it if you can.

Pours dark amber/ brownish with a creamy head and plenty of lacing, body fairly rich.
Smells like a combination of fresh apricot/ tropical fruit and rye. Underlying whiskey barrel. Sweet. Quite nice, and different.
Taste is like the smell, with more rye pouring over the fruit notes. The rye and fruit-laden hops with the whisky barrel is an odd combo at times, but this is a solid specialty DIPA.
A nice change from the usual choices. The maple is suggested here too, as the bottle mentions.
Feels medium and smooth, with medium carbonation and a bit of a bite and a light burn at the end.
Plenty of flavor in this one. It does remind me of their regular DIPA this is modeled after, but with rye and a maple bourbon-dipped impression.

I was very anxious to try this one after reading the description. It was everything advertised in the description. I love this one!
The smell is wonderful, with a candy like quality. I get the apricots and faint hops and whiskey.
The taste is strongly apricot on the start, then the rye ipa flavor arrives, followed by some whiskey and vanilla.
The alcohol doesn't hide with this one. The 13% is apparent as it is a little boozey. Aging might mellow it nicely, but this is the only one I have.
Website Description:
This hop forward American strong ale returns to the extremes of pre-prohibition. Rising from Whistle Pig Rye Whiskey barrels with resinous hops, this spirit’s cask ale is reminiscent of apricots dipped in maple Bourbon. Full of soul, the rye adds a musical spice note that plays well with friends. Enjoy as is, or cellar up to a year for more

Very limited release of the Dream Crusher aged in whisky barrels. It's a rye IPA, it's a little spicy, not as sweet as other barrel aged IPAs that I've had. It's more of a faint vanilla taste that contrasts well with the hops. I dig it.
