For an IPA to bear our hometown name, it better be potent. So we loaded it with our favorite American hops for a bitter punch. And with some over-the-top tropical fruit, citrus, pine and floral aromas and flavors, you’ve got one big Texas IPA, deserving of the Deep Ellum name.

On tap. Amber color with white foamy head. Citrusy aroma. Medium body with good carbonation. Nice malty base with grapefruit hop flavors. Good IPA with a decent amount of malt presence

Meh.....looks great in the glass. Not much in the flavor or aroma dept.. it's an alcohol delivery vehicle so I will drink it but it's not exciting...
A local IPA I got in lieu of a $16 Old Fashioned at the airport... this was 12. .i should have spent the $4 but I did get a review out of it....
No bitterness to speak of...sort of an amber I guess...?

Solid IPA nicely balanced hoppiness and bitterness. I like higher IBU beers, and this one has great bitters but also smooth. Like the darker copper-orange look. Enjoyed putting my nose over the snifter glass. Pleasantly surprised and distinctive.

Darkcopper withoff white head. Nice head retention. Hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit. Balanced real extract to alcohol ratio. Notes of pine, grapefuit. Very deceptive alcohol [7%]

12 oz. can, canned 11/16/2022. My first beer from Deep Ellum Brewing Company, out of Texas. What better way to start than with an IPA.
Poured to Central Waters snifter.
Pours a coppery, burnt sienna orange body. One finger of densely packed white froth that leaves good spotty lacing. Looks pretty good & befitting of the style.
Classical IPA aromas: soft flowers / florals, herbal hoppiness, pine, resin, grapefruit..you can almost smell the classical hop bitterness.
Super delicious & balanced flavor profile: tons of dank herbal hops, notes of grapefruit, lemon, pine needles, resin, with good bready malty backbone, notes of honey and biscuit. Super delicious, especially since I was expecting this to be an overly bitter, muddled, imbalanced mess.
Feel is super smooth, crisp, clean, lightly bitter / piney / resinous finish, slightly dry, invoking another sip. Dangerously drinkable at 7.0% abv.
Overall, a nice first beer for me from Deep Ellum. Will be on the look out for more.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours red orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus hops, nice and fresh. Tastes of citrus hops with nice grain backbone. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.
