Ugly, foggy, orange yellow with incredible head and lacing.

The smell is really nice and floaty. Rye and hops

It's very drinkable, but has a poor, old tasting, aftertaste.

Mouthfeel is strange. It splats on your tongue and slowly crawls back out like a splat ball. It's not great.

Overall, it's good enough to make me curious about their other beers, but I won't be buying a six pack.

Huh, this was the first beer I ever had from Deep Ellum, when they just opened, but I've never reviewed it. From a can.

A: 3.5 - Light gold color with an airy, quickly fading head.
S: 3.25 - Very faint hop scent, a touch grassy.
T: 3.5 - Moderate hoppiness, with an earthy hop flavor. Rye malt is light as well, just a hint of pepperiness. Mild pilsner malt ends a little sweet and grainy.
M: 3.5 - Neutral texture, light bodied
O: 3.5 - Eh, nothing special. And yet, I've had this on draft and enjoyed it quite a bit. I remember better hoppiness. But the canned version is bland and inoffensive at best.
