look: 4.25 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5

Heavy blonde color with enough busyness in the effervescent bubbles to make it look slightly opaque. Head is rocky and 2 fingers tall, stark white.

Aroma is of fresh papaya and melon, with hop aromas and some pale malts.

Flavor is pretty sharp, with plenty of piney flavors, followed by fresh fruit rinds and bitter cracker. Some faint bread comes up in breaths after the finish, but a very resiny bitterness is left on the palate. I describe it as good but is really only a 3.5 in total.

Feel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated.

Overall, a bit off-balance for me. It's still not bad though. Drink without regret.

Pours a clear straw golden color with white head. Citrus, pine, grass, decent resinous tones for a session IPA; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with plenty of hop flavor. Not bad.

Pours a cloudy yellow with nice foam and good lacing. Smell is great, floral notes, citrus, and hops abound. Taste is very good, full on IPA, you get tons of floral and citrus with a little dryness that just all works so well. This is an outstanding beer for all day consumption and full flavor without the heavy ABV. Excellent!!!

This is a very tropical and light-drinking session. It pours a golden yellow with a very small head on it. The smell is cascade hops and fruit, and the taste follows suit with a balance of bitterness and sweetness.

12oz can poured into a pint glass. Best by 01/02/2017 printed on the bottom of the can. The nose is extremely aromatic and filled with hops. The taste is extremely light bodied with a crisp hoppy finish, very drinkable.

Light, golden color, clear, with a bubbly, white head that reduces to a solid film across the glass. Aroma is light hops, floral and citrus. A bit of bread malt as well. The flavor is good for a session IPA. Many complain of how watery such beers are, but what do they expect? This one is fairly flavorful, citrus and floral with a bit of maltiness. Very crisp and refreshing. Not bad for a session beer.

Pours a straw color with a half finger of white head. The nose is adequately hoppy. The flavor tastes pretty much like every session IPA - watery and thin.

Pretty big flavor from a particularly low-abv (4.0%) Session IPA. Nice, polished-flax color, good turbidity, good bubbles; great aromatics—juicy lemon, orange-flower, sea oats, white tea, sweet white pepper—all form an inviting foreground. The flavors are very fresh, with equal measures of crispness and smoothness, to make for a very sessionable pale ale. There's some nice lemon-drop qualities, some galangal-like bite, very drain grain flavors, a subtle, pink-peppercorn zestiness, very good carbonic sizzle on the mid-palate, and some slightly-agave-inflected wild-sage bitters on the finish. A good use of three great hops—Simcoe, Cascade, and (one of my favorites) Amarillo—to produce a dry-malted, easy-drinking but lush, floral and juicy and zesty, and altogether (as promised by the can) golden, vibrant sipper. Sort of surprise this doesn't rate a bit better to the BA crowd.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass best by 1/02/17. Pours a very attractive golden yellow, with a two finger fluffy white head that leaves behind some sticky lace.

Smell is pine, floral hops, fresh cut grass, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows but more pronounced pine, cut grass, a little soapy, and a nice grapefruit zing in the finish.

Body is lite and crisp, lots of prickly carbonation, maybe a hint of dryness, and amazing drinkability.

Overall this is really nice, how 65 IBUS and only 4 % ABV collide is astounding. Really a nice session IPA.

A: [3.25] Pale straw colored beer. Forms a pretty small (under a 1/4 finger) of white head. It was gone faster than I could type this far. The can lists the ABV (4.0%) and there is a best by date (08/14/2016).

S: [4.00] Pine, pineapple, orange zest, dank resinous notes.

T: [4.00] Follows the nose with resinous pine, pineapple, orange zest. There is also some sweetness from the malts on the finish.

M: [3.75] Really meaty body for 4.0%. It is medium bodied with a good carbonation level. Has a mild dry hoppy finish.

O: [3.75] These guys know how to make an IPA. At 4.0% even they pack in a ton of aroma, flavor and body. I know some beers that can't pull this off at 8%. This could be my go to session IPA. Kudos to Green Flash!

out of a can at a softball tourney, needed something tasty and light decided to try this, it served it's purpose, will need to try again out of a glass, when I needed more I went back to Founders All Day because this is not readily available yet back East. Am actively looking for an all day I can rely on.......

Pretty good session IPA. Pours a golden color with a hint of orange, Medium size white head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma is bready malt and citrus hops. Flavor is more of the same with the citrus hops becoming the dominant flavor. Mouthfeel is a bit light but ok for a session beer. Worth a try.

L: Pours brilliant gold producing a 3” sticky off-white foam stand that takes 4 minutes to recede to a thick, lacy ½” film. S: Fruit, citrus, herb, grass and light bread aromas rise from the glass. T: Fruit, melon, tropical fruit, citrus and bread crumbs mingle with a balancing hop bitterness. F: Medium to medium light body and medium high carbonation. O: A very full flavored and easy to drink session beer.

Aroma is dank hops, slightly sweet tropical fruit and an odd woody/dryish/astringent hint. The flavor is grapefruit, citrus, hops/hop resin, spices, slight chemicals and a bitter/slight heat in the finish.

A: A pale dirty yellow in color, hazy with a white head.

S: Lots of citrus and tropical fruits. Orange peel, pineapple, and an odd spice note in the finish. Perhaps allspice? Not sure.

T: Spice note is definitely there.. almost like a spice and herbal tea thing going on, perhaps this is the simcoe acting up, as it has the tendency to do with me. After that is it orange peel, and hints of grapefruit, with a ling lingering bitterness that turns towards tannic.

M: Medium with fairly active carbonation. Nice feel for a lower abv beer, but not necessarily as thirst quenching.

O: Overall an odd little beer, I appreciate the abundance of flavor, but the spice note I am picking up doesn't sit well with me.

This might be my new favorite session IPA. It's bright, floral, and juicy in the aroma. The flavor picks up more classic grapefruit, a little apricot and berry, a touch of pine, and then the finish is balanced (not too thin or dry), feeling more like a 5 or 6% beer. This is a tasty, easy drinking beer that covers a lot of ground in terms of hops flavor. Try one.

Meh! Thin and lacking flavour or substance. Not a horrible beer but not what I expected from Green Flash. As I consumed it I kept thinking, "why didn't I just buy Founders All Day IPA". Lesson learned.

From a can into a Sam Adams sensory pint glass.
Appearance is like gold straw yellow with a finger of foamy White head, no lacing.
Smell is dank Pine grassy hops big bread malt.
Flavor is very bright Floral with some citrus some Pine fresh cut grass light earthy hop flavors. Space lots of cracker and bread coming in at the back Kama which dominates the hops.
Mouthfeel is clean and crisp but on the thin side.
Overall it's a pretty good Session IPA a little too much crack remote for the flavor which the hops were more dominant.

12 oz can, with "best by" dating on the bottom

Pretty typical lok to this one, amber, off whiteand lasting head, respectable spots and strands of lacing left on the glass.

Citric sniff

Easy drinking and citric session IPA. Notes of the usual suspects, grapefruit and oranges. Nicely done. Nice summer kinda brew

BBD of 7/22/16

Pours an effervescent amber with 2+ fingers of cream colored head. Great lacing & fairly average head retention

S: Mango & grapefruit, plenty of it

T: Follows the nose, some dryness and pine up front Tangerine comes through as this warms, along with a dry breadyness, plus a little lemongrass. Finishes with a lovely citrus flourish, some grassy notes & a little dryness

MF: Light/medium body, fairly firm carbonation, nice balance

This is one of the better examples of a session IPA, highly drinkable

A decent session IPA, but once again, another session IPA that just seems a touch watery. Citrus is detected and the hops and such balance well, but again the balance and body seem to lack enough flavor to satisfy.

Poured from a can a nice straw yellow with a hint of orange hue. As advertised smells and taste of floral and citrus with a nice dry finish. This is a nice IPA for a hot summer day and also would be a good IPA for a beginner as its a easy smooth beverage to partake of. Cheers

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: clear light-golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam. Few IPAs are so clear these days; the look really works for me.

Smell: the malt is quite sweet with a rather sticky character; hops are piney and earthy and low in intensity. Not too bad, I suppose.

Taste: sweet malt with the same earthy, piney, low-intensity hops and a moderate bitterness. A totally reasonable session IPA.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a big carbonation and concomitant creaminess. I actually rather like it.

Overall: refreshing and tasty, if a bit mild. A decent session IPA.

Clear gold with two fingers of white. Decent retention and good amount of lace.
Smell was really fine. Big floral hops mango orange some hop oil and some biscuit.
Taste is similar with the floral hops and hop oil in the lead and the biscuit malt keeping it in style.
Mouthfeel is light with plenty of carbonation. The finish is dry bitter and refreshing.
Overall one of the best session IPAs out there. Best by date was Feb. 29, 2016.
For a 4% abv beer this is very bold.
