Draft only release. Sample bottle from the brewery.
Pours bright pale golden with a creamy white lace. Great nose. Quite pungent with citrus rinds, herbal, floral, and onion notes. Crisp and dry upfront. Light biscuity malt base. Hops are biting with more citrus, herbal, and a fresh, rindy finish. Slightly oily and resiny on the palate, with a light and watery mouthfeel that's a bit flat. Dries out with a chalky, aspirin-like, ashy, semi-astringent, bitter linger.
It's good, but I'd like to see a bit more malt balance and carbonation. As it stands it's a bit like hop water. I also found the text on the label amusing: "... that really isn't an IPA at all." So why call it one? (Answer: the style is currently trending.)
Hop bill: Warrior, Chinook, Cascade. 4% ABV. 65 IBU.

L: Pours brilliant gold producing a 3” sticky off-white foam stand that takes 4 minutes to recede to a thick, lacy ½” film. S: Fruit, citrus, herb, grass and light bread aromas rise from the glass. T: Fruit, melon, tropical fruit, citrus and bread crumbs mingle with a balancing hop bitterness. F: Medium to medium light body and medium high carbonation. O: A very full flavored and easy to drink session beer.

Decently hopped with a light backbone. Sort of a watered down IPA with some extra hops to compensate for the lack of malt.

looks like i liked this one a bit more than others. i thought it was an excellent brew, part of the hop odyssey series i assume. these beers just keep coming, the more the merrier. i like their session take here, very very pale base beer, cloudy like a wit, maybe a little darker, and with a nice pillowy white head. it got a cool hop to it, galaxy maybe, something pushing tropical but showing grassy european roots. its delicate enough to work with the beer. i also like that its a session ipa with some grain flavor, its not just pale for the sake of being light, it has a mild fresh wheat and cheerio complexion underneath the hops, and i think that works real well. the mouthfeel is the best part for me though, super soft, creamy almost, very very delicate. its everything i would want for the style, but its missing from so many of these. love that all the elements unite really well, and that the beer is flavorful on both ends. not quite hoppy enough to fall under the ipa scope for me, its too balanced and light, especially in the bitterness, which is almost nonexistent. that said though, its great beer, released right as the weather is getting nice. this will do well, i look forward to drinking more of it this spring. a perfect patio pounder.

Pours a straw color with a half finger of white head. The nose is adequately hoppy. The flavor tastes pretty much like every session IPA - watery and thin.
