Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy copper orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About a finger of white head that settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A juicy and dank hop forward aroma with a scent of tropical fruit and pine. Upfront juicy citrus hints of orange peel, grapefruit, guava, mango, lemon, and pineapple. Earthy and herbal hints of pine resin and cannabis. Pale barley malt with hints of caramel, grains, and cracker along with yeast. A pretty solid juicy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and piney hop driven taste with notes of tropical fruit and resin. Ripe and juicy citrus notes of orange peel, grapefruit, guava, lemon zest, and mango along with some pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine resin and grass. Fairly bitter. Backing pale malt notes of caramel, grains, and cracker with some yeast. A pretty nice hoppy taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy and pretty oily with a drying finish.

Overall: A pretty good single hop IPA. Good juicy and piney hop flavors.

A pretty standard IPA, although decently done. I get some sweetness and a very mellow hop bite. Kind of grassy and a very light citrus. It is pretty crushable though.

Copper colored with excellent clarity. There's a half inch of frothy off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is light citrus hops and pale malt. The taste is a stark contrast from the aroma as it is packed with bready pale malt and citrus hops appear in the back of the palate but more as a complement to the malt. The mouth is crisp and smooth.

Had on tap at Moxie in Madison on Valentine's Day, poured into a shaped pint glass. Comes out goldenrod colored, clear, with a bubbly white head that leaves some spots on the side. Smell is very hoppy, pretty sweet, notes of raspberry, only a hint of malt. Taste starts with a cracker malts, then lead into a nice hop note, citrusy and fruity, ends very bitter, bit of chalkiness. Feel is medium bodied, bubbly. Overall I thought this was a well done APA, very odd hop strain for sure.

Poured from 12 oz bottle with a BB date stamp of 11 July 2016. Served in a lager glass.

Appearance: medium amber body with lots of visible carbonation. Decent head and very good lacing.

Smell: floral/fruity/herbal hop notes with bready malts.

Taste: the hops are dominant but there's an underlying bready malt component and fairly mild bitterness. Single hop but multi-dimensional hop flavor.

Mouthfeel: medium body with crisp, medium+ carbonation; very dry finish

Overall: a distinct, dry pale ale. Certainly worth trying .. and buying again.

Poured into: 6 oz wine glass

S: Hazy honey-gold body that supports a nearly tan head.

A: Berries! Blackberry leads the procession, followed by a darker fruit note... black currant? Some woody note in there too, plus a cracker-like malt in support. Subtle, inviting.

T: More berries, in the taste. In addition, a white-bread crust shows up in a clean crisp malt. Ends quite fruity, rather than bitter and hoppy.

F: Medium-light body, average carbonation, but that's ok. The flavors here are subtle and delicate- less scrubbing action needed.

O: My first experience with a Pacific Gem single-hop beer. Enjoyable, easy to session.

S: 3.75 A: 4.5 T: 4.5 F: 4.0 O: 4.25

Pairs with: Fruit salad, mild cheeses, chicken or pork with a berry-reduction sauce.

Clear amber color with off-white head. Aroma has sweet oranges, floral hops and sweet malt underneath. Taste starts balanced with caramel malt and sweet oranges, floral hops and fruit candy. Finish is quite bitter and also lingers on the aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Although my bottle is past its best by date, it held up pretty well and still tastes good.

Lovely pale ale with an herbal spice and floral grapefruit character. There's just a hint caramel toast in the background, but otherwise it's an easy drinking ale on the lighter side, but with fun, interesting hops character.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear straw body.
The aroma is a little pine with lots of pineapple and mango.
The taste is a bold pine bitterness to start, then mellows to slightly sweet.
The texture is crisp.
Really enjoyable.
