"Best by 6/28/16"; drank 2/28/16 @ the Yarchives.

Semi-opaque yellow/orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a small, LOUD white head which instantly dissipated; almost no lace.

Strong passion fruit notes in the nose.

Thin mouthfeel.

Passion fruit & mango flavors up front; dry wheat notes on the finish.

This is just what it claims to be; a tropical wheat ale. A bit sweet & fairly simple, but enjoyable for what it is.

Slightly hazy amber golden color with a thin head.
Aroma with notes of wheat, raspberries, passion fruit juice and pear.
Flavor with notes of passion fruit juice, raspberries, slightly tart wheat juice e pears. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Pleasant American Wheat with very low bitterness, but unsweetened given slightly tart raspberries and passion fruit notes. It would be better with a good deal of tropical passion fruit like hops.

I truly love this wheat ale. Most fruity beers sacrifice abv, but not this one. The look is of a typical wheat ale, and the smell & taste are wonderful! I wish they sold it near Chattanooga, but am pleased it is available when we got to Disney World!

Appearance – No head on a yellow, slightly hazy body.

Aroma – Passionfruit, raspberries, slightly sour.

Taste – Passionfruit, a little sour, light wheat malt but hard to find.

Mouthfeel – A little viscous for a wheat beer, not quite cloying.

Overall – An interesting flavor blend, I liked it.

The ol' homegirl Trudie picked up a 6 pack of this stuff for me. Pours a dark yellow color, 1/2" off white head. Aroma was grain and some fruit juice.

Taste is more of the same, fruit juice and beer, together at last. Its relatively light bodied as it should be with the % of wheat being used. Isn't much in the way of contributions from hops or yeast to the flavor of the beer. Carbonation was good. To me its just another dumbed down simple fruited beer aimed at the more restrained peeps. These are good beers to have around when someone doesn't want a hoppy beer or a heavy beer. Just bam, here you go, this should be easy drinking enough for you, prolly goes better the warmer it is outside.

Decently tart, pretty close to the puckering level of it. Doesn't have the foamy or thick texture of a wheat beer, more light than that. Can definitely taste the passion fruit and strangely, almost as strong is the tea taste, a little strong and not as well balanced as the kush beer varieties from ale industries. Okay kcal count at about 160.

Nabbed a can at a Trader Joe's in Austin, TX for $1.67 USD plus tax.

Artificial passionfruit extract/artificial flavouring. Soft wheat. 2-row. Slightly tart.

Certainly refreshing. Light-bodied, smooth, wet, soft, luscious, and approachable without any faults (e.g. booziness, astringency, etc.). Well-carbonated.

A tasty wheat ale with an artificial fruit flavour that kind of works. Drinkable and enjoyable, but shallow and simple as well. Crowd pleasing work from Green Flash, but it won't dazzle discerning drinkers.

Very artificial tasting, reminded my of syrupy cough syrup. Had to dump it. Really really bad stuff. Lots better on the shelf than this.

6/25...pours pale gold, light foam patches, but faint. Strong citrus sour. Punchy. Simple fruity taste, light sour, wheaty close. Crisp finish. Blends nicely with the malt. Creamy. Nice blend in the mouthfeel.

Hazy golden glow with a towering 2 finger head, sudsy in appearance with a nice ring of lace. Head isn't going anywhere soon. Really nice.

Sour aromas with lots of passion fruit, milk, cantaloupe, wheat, and grapefruit.

Flavor is washed out comparatively but still good. Lots of sour passion fruit going on, getting an almost dark sour patch kids thing. Melon notes and orange on the back end. Soft finish.

Feel is tightly carbonated with a crisp finish.

Overall, I have had quite a few of these, and it's always been meh for me. But sitting down to review it really helped me to notice all the nuances in this beer. It really is enjoyable, easy drinking, and great to pick apart.

The appearance was a glossy / hazy golden orange color with a thin line of white foamy head that quickly dissipated. No lacing. The smell had some sweet passionfruit, light wheat, gentle lemon rind (slight bitterness). Kicks in with some black pepper. Dry tart citrus. The taste was mainly tart with a sly sweet wheaty backbone to compliment nicely. Lingering sweet wheaty aftertaste, mild sweet to tart finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the tartness to hit appropriately on my tongue. Overall, I say this was a pretty good fruit beer that I could come back to.

Poured from 12oz can into a tulip.

Appearance: medium golden hue with plenty of haze and two fingers of frothy white foam.

Smell: tart and a little wheaty; the fruitiness is subtle but it works pretty well. I like it.

Taste: tart, earthy, wheaty and perhaps a little citrusy. The passionfruit works here, as it complements the wheat flavor well but it's not the focus of the brew. Not bad at all.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess; I like it.

Overall: definitely a refreshing summer beer. I'm not sold on passionfruit overall, but it does seem to work OK here.

L: Slightly hazy straw yellow. Finger and a half white head recedes slowly.

S: Passion fruit, wheat and yeast.

T: Follows the nose and tasty.

F: Light crisp and semi-dry.

O: A good beer but nothing special.

Best by July 19th stamped clearly on the bottom rim of the can.
Hazy straw yellow orange colour, big but short lived head of foam. No lacing.
Big fruity nose of passion fruit, wheat, yeast. I Cannot tell if this is going to be tart by smelling it.

Taste is wheat, biscuit, fruity, yes, but ever so slightly tart. Good and all but I was hoping for more. I reckon the smell was a portend of what was to come.
Good enough brew but not one that I have a desire to revisit.

Pours a hazy grapefruit juice orange. Sugar white head is just a hint of lacing.

Smells of citrus juices, pineapple, passion fruit, and cracker malt.

Flavor is of cracker and cereal malt with hints of lemon, pineapple, and passion fruit juice. Mild grassy finish.

Light body with stinging carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

A very nice light juicy fruit ale, refreshing and very easy drinking. A summer beer for sessioning in hot weather. Very good at what it is trying to be.

Pours a hazy golden color with lots of visible carbonation and a soapy white head with large bubbles. The head does go away quite quickly.

Smells very fruity. Smells like biscuits and maybe some white wheat bread as well.

Tastes of passion fruit and wheat malts. Slightly sweet and slightly bitter on the taste with a bit of tartness.

Mouth is medium and has a bit of a sticky finish.

The carbonation from the initial pour seemed to settle out visibly but had enough presence in the beer to push the flavors across the tongue quite nicely. This seems like with a bit of tweaking it could become a Gose or a Weissbier. So in my humble opinion I would have to say it sits nicely between those two styles. A very good beer for that summer BBQ with some big meaty, juicy burgers with some nice cheddar and thick cut bacon on a Kaiser roll. Just saying.

Hazy pale yellow body, virtually zero head, just a few fizzy white clouds on the pour, with skimpy bubbles rising. The nose is passion fruit, tart and juicy, and mild wheat. Yum, mouthwatering. The flavor is a less juicy and succulent form of passion fruit, with some dry yeastiness and mild wheat flavor behind it. Minimal sweetness. There's only a trace of the former tartness, to my disappointment. The body is light and has a nice zip of ample carbonation, like seltzer, but more delicate.
Good balance of the fruit alongside traditional beer components, with the extra benefit of tartness. It approached a lemonade-like quality. The passion fruit was authentic and prominent but not overpowering. A refreshing brew, basic bitches such as myself should love this.

Looks nice, light in color. Smell is a little banana peel and tropical fruit. Taste is all passionfruit - almost soda-like. Light feel, moderate to heavy carbonation. Almost no hops. Could have been a shandy. Doesn't do it for me.

On tap. Look is golden slight haze. Smell gives me overripe stone fruit, cherry maybe. Taste throws me for a loop. A bit sour up front, then typical pale wheat middle boring, then the passion fruit kicks in. It doesn't punch, but it jabs. I know the flavor, and I don't know if I want it in my beer. But I keep going back for more. Feel is nice, high carb. Overall, I have no idea if I like this thing. I don't hate it, but I also don't think I need a sixer in my fridge. But that passion fruit gets in your head, so maybe

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a golden yellow color and a hazy texture. There was a small amount of foamy / fizzy head that quickly dissipated. No real lacing to speak of.

S: A fair aroma of passion fruit (duh) and a lot of wheat, more than anything.

T: Tasted of a good shot of wheat, some passion fruit (not quite enough in my opinion), light malt notes, some other fruit (peach), citrus (lemon, lime), and a light hoppiness. If there's a problem with the flavor it's that it's not quite powerful enough. That being said, it gets better as it goes along. Sweet and fruity.

F: A low amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Light-bodied.

O: This isn't Green Flash's best effort - it's quite uneven - but it has its good points. Not a bad beer for a summer's day.

The beer pours hazy straw gold (SRM 3) with rapidly rising bubbles under a ½” white to off-white foam cap that has moderately low retention. The nose is passion fruit, a hint of Wonderbread, and light Belgian yeast aromas suggesting bubble gum. The flavor starts lightly sweet and then takes a slightly tart turn. Complex passion fruit show up early with tea and juice notes flying on different levels and linger through a moderately long aftertaste. The hop flavors and bitterness are very minimal. Malt flavors are moderate with the malt acting primarily as a vehicle and seasoning for the passion fruit flavors. Passion Fruit Kicker has a medium light body with medium high carbonation. This refreshing beer takes just enough steps back from being alcopop to qualify as an adult summer drink.

A: Pours slightly hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.

S: Super fruity, passion fruit, a bit floral, a little wheat, a touch of sweetness, but also slightly tart.

T: Fruity, peach, passion fruit, cherry, a little wheat twang, and a touch of sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this one, but was pleasantly surprised. Refreshing.
