Slightly hazy and bright yellow in color with some darker highlights to it, pours with three fingers of yellowish, frothy and bubbly head that has a fantastic retention to it and leave great big patches of lacing on the glass.

Nice and citrusy aroma of ripe juicy oranges with light floral hop notes underneath.

Starts off pretty sweet, almost to sweet tasting with a juicy orange flavor to it, I'm getting both tangerines and navel oranges off of it, orange flavor settles into the sweetness loosing some of its juiciness giving it a nice candied orange peel quality.

Solidly sweet malt base, almost sugary that leaves a slightly sticky, slightly fuzzy mouthfeel to it and a vague hint of candy corn.

Fairly bitter finish, a bit of a surprise considering the sweetness of the front end, waxy aromatic orange zest and bitter pithy peel that lingers on the aftertaste with ghostly floral hop hints to it.

Medium bodied with a slightly higher then average amount of carbonation to it.

Not to bad, nice orange/tangerine flavor to it but a bit too bittersweet and heavy for the style with a sticky mouthfeel to it.

Poured into a narrow mug: color is copper, head is brighter white with fine bubbles, head presents 1/2 inch thick then dissipates to a ring with some lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is citrus, tangerine dominant, good rind quality, pleasant with some light toasty malt and bitter notes from hops.

Taste quite pleasant with a good balance of added citrus flavor and base beer taste: citrus rind is present with tangerine like qualities, hops are citrus and earthy, malt is light with a hint of toast and sweetness.

Mouthfeel is crisp, moderate carbonation, drying on the finish.

Overall a very easy drinking added citrus IPA, not overly added citrus flavor with good base beer qualities.

Sharp, in your face citrus. Less juicy, more sharp with a cutting tangerine taste that takes away from what could be a full taste.

Haven't had Cascade hops by themselves so I'm not sure if it's those hops but to be sure this is a different type of tangerine. Not juicy tangerine, just the rinds of an overripe citrus fruit

One of the few IPAs with both citra and tangerine that I just couldn't get around to liking

12 oz bottle- Pours hazy orangeish golden with a small white head that retains. Aroma is tangerine, orange peel, a bit of spice, coriander or something, but that's about it. The taste is similar, tangerine, with a solid sweet malt backbone, dry lightly bittering finish. Thirst quencher.

12 oz. Bottle

Pours a very nice orangy color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, with some nice citrus. The taste is hoppy, citrusy. Medium body. Overall, a tasty brew.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy medium golden pour. Two fingers of foamy head. Decent lacing.

S: Strong citrus. Tangerine/orange. Biscuity malts.

T/F: Bready malts and a very citrus forward hop profile. Lots of tangerine (too much?) with grapefruit and lemon rind. A bit herbal and peppery. Medium in body. Not overly bitter.

O: A reasonable tangerine IPA. Not my favorite and not one I'd re-visit but glad I tried it. Decent, but far from my favorite Green Flash beer.

Draft offering appears a hazy copper color with a white froth.

The nose on this is straight tangerine zest with nothing much else present. The taste carries that same tangerine juice character with more pithy and zesty depth/bitterness and a slight carbonic bite to the finish.

This is light in body with modest carbonation. An enjoyable and refreshing fruit dominated ipa.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Cigar City Brewing goblet.

A: Pours a light gold - similar to the base beer, but this is quite hazy. Forms a thin white head that fades quickly, and has a good amount of visible carbonation.

S: A punch of tangerine or tangelo up front – pungent and fruity. Like orange-grapefruit-pineapple juice on top of light bready malts. A mild fermented/ethanol aroma as well, with citrus pith, mild tropical fruits and melons underneath.

T: Oranges and orange pith with a mild flat and unsweet underripe character. Lurking underneath is tropical fruit salad. A little more heft to the malt body than came across in the base beer. More grapefruit pith and tart orange pith bitterness, with a bit of astringent character in the hang.

M: Medium body - seems a bit heavier than the base beer. Good carbonation sensation. The alcohol seems a bit more prominent than expected.

O: I think I like this better than the base beer – it has stronger fruit flavors and more bitterness. But it isn’t something I’d drink all night every night – it’s more pushy about the citrus and less nuanced than the base. But if you’re in the mood for a citrus kick in the nuts with your IPA, it’s good.

User error! I dislike Tangerines but since I was in San Diego I'd try as it would be fresh. Small head, and a nice crisp beer on the palate, but the taste came across as overly fruity....a bit forced. Also it has tangerines! I feel manipulated - I ordered a beer called something I don't like , and then I didn't like it. My bad. Still love this brewery

Pours a slightly hazy gold, producing 3 fingers of soapy, white, moderately lasting head that leaves thick collar ring & a wash of streaky, bubbly lacing. Aroma is fronted by intense tangerine & other citrus notes, some tropical fruit, floral dank earthiness, spice, bready dough & a hint of caramel. The taste is fronted by tangerine, orange Kool-Aide, sweet caramel & joined by, pie dough, tropical fruit, earth, floral & a hint of pine in the finish. The sweetness begins to disappear immediately leaving a bitter, resinous pine, citrus rind & pith & intensly dry, astringent aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, starts a little thin but finishes with a tongue coating juiceiness & a light prickle, becoming vert dry & chalky in the aftertaste. The bitter dryness lasts long into the aftertaste. Excellent!

Unfortunately this IPA did not stand out to me in what seems like an increasingly crowded field of fruity IPAs. The hops were not overpowering as one might expect, but for me the tangerine zest did not cut through. This beer is dry; however not the refreshing summer beer I'd hoped for.

Great IPA on a hot day but just 1 or 2 as the Tangerine can become overpowering.
A clean dry hop finish not to sweet medium body with a nice mild bitterness.

I'm a big fan of tropical IPAs, especially on a hot day. This one is a beautiful, hazy, golden color with a small, pure-white head. Lacing is pronounced throughout. Smells of light citrus and hay. Tastes of bitter orange peel with a bit of some sweet pineapple on the front of the tongue. Clean, dry bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Overall, solid and refreshing.

Hazy bright orange. Modest head. Zesty tangerine predominates, but doesn't overwhelm. Rich and modestly complex, the citrus, hops, and malt all very well balanced together. On the bitter side for IPA's. Overall very refreshing, a unique brew.

A nice try with the tangerine, but not quite. A very drinkable beer, but nothing stands out. The smell is kind of malty, but the taste is mellow, with a hint of sweetness.

Best by 04 Nov 16. 12oz bottle served in pint glass. Beer pours turbid and muddy yellow in color, with lots of suspended soda bubbles. Small white head. Aroma is distinctly of sweet tangerine juice. Flavor is, too, at least at first, before the presence of a 75 IBU IPA makes itself felt. Citrus and tropical hops come through in the middle of the palate, courtesy of Cascade and Citra. The aftertaste leaves a bit of bitter orange peel on the lips. Did I mention there's a lot of sediment floating in (waiting to settle) this beer? Anyway, this beer is definitely enjoyable, if gimmicky. Green Flash makes the duo of hops and citrus fruit work better than New Belgium did, but not nearly as well as Ballast Point (Sculpin series).

A: A two finger white creamy and foamy head with really good retention. The color of the beer is medium orange with some reddish hues. The clarity of the beer is hazy with some carbonation visible.

N: Floral, oranges, herbs, caramel, toasted malt, yeast, hay and some resin.

T: Ripe tangerine flavor, herbs, spruce, floral, toasted bread, malty, yeasty, hay and some floral.

M: Carbonated, medium body and slightly carbonated.

O: The tangerine is really present in this beer the IPA part is kinda muddled. A good beer nonetheless.

12oz bottle - another fruit variant on one of their base beers - this time we're going all SoCal summery with tangerines.

This beer pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly bubbly bone-white head, which leaves some decent splattered snow rime lace around the glass as it slowly evaporates.

It smells of pungent, semi-sweet tangerine flesh, further mixed domestic citrus notes, a hint of put-upon bready pale malt, perhaps a touch of sugary cream, and some understated leafy and piney green hop bitters. The taste is big and fruity tangerine again, though now somewhat moderated by some lemon, white grapefruit, and muddled tropical fruitiness, grainy and toasty pale malt, and more relatively tame piney, sprucey, and weedy hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite active in its palate-lifting frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and mostly smooth, just a wee bit of tangerine pith to be picked out of one's teeth, is all. It finishes off-dry, and very citrusy, as the tangerine seems to be in this one for the long haul.

Overall, I can't say that I didn't like this frooty offering, but it is indeed a tad one-sided. Like many other heavily (adjunct) flavoured beers, it comes down to whether or not you are a fan of the guest ingredient. And I am, so I will thus go on and soak up some virtual soul and southern California-worthy sunshine.

Pours the color of lemonade and iced tea mixed - a hazy yellowish brown color, kind of pretty. Lacing is heavy and tons of skirts around the sides. There's actually PULP in the lace on the sides. Incredible.

Aromas of purely fresh, peeled and parted tangerines, not oranges - tangerines. And some musty malt and fresh dew accompanies, making this a very fresh, brewery-lover's aroma.

The flavor is pure tangerine pith and peel at the begining, and then pure tangerine fruit right after. It all comes together on the finish as one whole tangerine beer experience. If anything the flavor is too "green" as in, not ripe enough, just totally off the vine with all of its' leafy and woody qualities.

Feel is mildly creamy, mildly carbonated, slightly syrupy, and ends with a hot hoppy finish - but not overly hot (like from alcohol).

Overall, this is a great IPA. Not as good as Modus Mandarina from Ska, but still a fabulous beer. Definitely try it if you haven't yet.

A: The beer is quite hazy dark yellow in color and has some visible particulates floating in suspension. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of tangerine citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of tangerines along with hints of grapefruit hops and a light amount of hop bitterness, but the citrus itself contributes a moderate amount of bitterness that lingers into the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer is all about tangerines and grapefruit, so if you aren't a big fan of these fruits you might night like the beer. It somewhat tastes like an IPA that was mixed with some tangerine juice.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an orange color and a cloudy texture. There was an inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.

S: A nice aroma of the advertised tangerine, lots of hops, and some other light fruits.

T: Tasted of a good amount of tangerine, some lemon, grapefruit, orange peel, a little malt, a lot of hops (more than expected), and a bit of pine. At first, the flavor is a little off-putting because the hops seem a little too aggressive, but it seems to mellow out and the fruit flavors come to the fore. Sweet and tasty.

F: A decent amount of carbonation with a somewhat bitter finish. Light-bodied.

O: This beer has its flaws, but it kind of grows on you after a while. Generally well done.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with a best by date of 20 Oct 2016. Sampled on June 30, 2016.

The pour is a pineapple juice looking pale yellow with a modest short lasting head.

My nose detects a light burst of tangerine, musty cellar, and toast.

Medium body.

More tangerine to talk about in the taste that the nose assumes with a mild to moderate bitterness at the finish the lingers momentarily. Not in your face but then again, not very unique.

Good brew pours dark orange with a nice head. Smells like a zesty tropical ipa. Does not quite have the flavor I imagined. Was hoping for more tangerine and citrus BANG. But not too bad nonetheless
