Notes / Commercial Description:
As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA® exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Sep 12, 2014 - New version - 4.25/5

Very nice overall but I liked the old version better.

Dec 18, 2012 - Old version - 4.95/5

12 oz. bottle, poured into a long tulip glass.

Look is awesome! Dark peachy color with medium head and very good retention and lacing.
Smell is also awesome. I didn't had to pour it into the glass to smell it. After removing the cap, the smell was already emanating from the bottle. Lots of grassy, floral hops.
Taste is awesome as well. Floral at first and then the hops kick in leaving a very pleasant, bitter aftertaste.
Body feels light and smooth and carbonation is medium. Very drinkable.

Overall this was definitely one of the best beers I ever had. Floral aroma and very well hopped, exactly how an IPA should be.

Had this on tap at falling rock tap house in denver.

Pours amber to brown with a 1.5" white head. Very good lacing & average head retention

S: Loads of piney hops & not much else gets through

Taste: Big piney hops up front that evetually let a little malt sneak in. Finishes with a flourish of grapefruitty hops & dryness

MF:Medium with good carbonation. A little too overhopped to for perfect balance IMO

Drinks easier than its 7.0 abv, hopheads will love this. A very good IPA
