Notes / Commercial Description:
As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA® exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Pours orange-amber with a nice frothy head that sticks around and leaves a lot of lacing. Smells really piney for a west coast IPA with some orange notes in there. The taste is very piney and resinous with some orange citrus in the background. The orange comes out a lot more as you sip on it a little. This is an awesome IPA but thats not a surprise considering that its Green Flash.

A: good head, 1.5 finger, thick, nice lacing. Pretty cloudy, mid-range orange brown color.

S: strong hops at first, fresh, grassy, pine-y, not skunky, then sweet malt and fruity notes, especially pineapple.

T: citrus fruit hops, not overwhelmingly bitter, more pine and bitterness as it warms, clean finish, nicely balanced by sickly sweetness from the malt.

M; nice carbonation, not too sharp, not too soft, bitter in back of throat, sweet at first with dry finish.

D: great drinkability for anyone looking for a fresh, hopped American/Californian IPA.
