Notes / Commercial Description:
As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA® exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

I had to drink two bottles of this one to try and determine the unique Hop flavor happening, their web site says"Columbus for strong hop pungency". So I guess that describes it...Pungency. This one will grow on you for sure definitely a characteristic of the PNW brews I have been enjoying but definitely an excellant IPA.

Orange amber color with a thick head with good retention and leaving laces.
Delicious aroma of pine, grapefruits, fresh oranges, slightly toasted malts, flowers and caramels. Lasts through the whole degustation.
Hops, hops, hops! Bold and bitter flavor of spices, citric hops, American yeast, pine resin, lemon, tobacco, caramel and toasted malts, saffron and lemongrass. Dry aftertaste with a long lasting bitterness that won’t go away.
Medium body with carbonation of tiny bubbles. Alcohol of 7.3% abv is hardly noticeable.
World class IPA, perfectly executed. Bold with an insistent bitterness. This one is hard to improve. Still so balanced, that my wife who does not like beers, found it nice, despite of its 95 IBUs and 7.3% abv.
