Notes / Commercial Description:
As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA® exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Poured from the bomber into a big ass mason jar with a pewter handle securely attached.

A: deep golden ruddy color with a huge rocky 4 finger head that dissipates to a 3 mm disk. carbonation is lightly active. Hazy.

S: WOW. Dank Centennial. This is nuts. So intense. This is what people think of when they talk of C hops. Delicious. There is middling malts, ala crystal or some other two--row hiding. Bitter pine yields to citrus, e.g. grapefruit. white pepper. there is a LOT going on, and it is perfect, Some strange dankness.

T: perfectly follows nose. smooth hops are yielding to bitter hopsplosion. it is a very intense citrus experience, and malt at swallow is minor.

M: Creamy. Bitter citrus. spritely side of tongue. Does not linger nearly long enough, goes a little stale bread at ultimate finish.

O: Expensive. But worth it as an occasional quaff. My gosh this is good.

This is about as good as it gets if you are a hophead. Nothing gets in the way of the floral, citrus and pine smell and taste. Hoppy resin lingers long after the swallow. Hop bitterness stays on your tongue as well. Just a perfect example of a west coast IPA. Damn near perfect beer.
