As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA® exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

A beer I've been wanting to review for quite some time as I love IPA's and this is something I havent had a whole lot of.

Pours a deep orange with a white head that falls fast, murky and full of sediment, just how i like my IPA's

Smells like the dankiest hops around, big citrus and weedy, grassy hops in abundance in the nose, with a wiff of caramel as this is 7.3% alc.

Tastes like a malt bomb of an IPA with a punch of bitter hops as one might expect from a double IPA. Very malt, bread, and hop driven, with citrus zest, pine, a tad of oak from I don't know where, just a grassy citrusy IPA, very well done.

mouthfeel is above average, its well carbed and has plenty of taste per sip balance.

I like it, havent had too much, but I should revisit more.

Poured Green Flash West Coast IPA into a Belgian Tulip.

A - Pours a hazy dark orange with a finger and half of off white head.

S - Getting smooth tropical notes on first sniff. Grapefruit, citrus, hop resin, a touch of coconut.

T - The hop bomb explodes on first taste. Pine needles, grapefruit, hop resin. The brew has a little citrus mid palate with more hops on the finish.

M - Medium mouthfeel, with medium carbonation.

O - Hop heads unite, yep this one's for you. Cheers!
