Notes / Commercial Description:
As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA® exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

I am Re Reviewing this one because of the recipe change so lets give it a whirl.

Pours the same, deep orange almost amber, light hop haze, half finger of off white to white head

Smell is grapefruit, pine, sproose, a little of the dank green onion smell, some caramel and bready sweetness, pineapple, orange, lemon are there as underlying players

Taste is grapefruit, pine, lemon, citrus peels, some bready malt underneath, a decent showing of a tropical note on the finish with a bit grapefruit rind bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, average carbonation, very dry

Well it has a different finish in the flavor to me. Other than that nothing really that different.

Pours a deep orange, light amber. Nice hop haze, half a finger of white head.

Smell is sweet grapefruit, orange, nice dankness, spice in the hops, little pine, dankness in there to. light pale malts, not much though. Really complex smelling stuff

Taste is grapefruit heavy, lemon, pine, spice is heavy, bittering orange rind, light pale malts, did I mention a spice hop npte? Amazing.

Mouthfeel is medium, nicely carbonated, finishes as dry as dirt. Really nice.

Wow, I would buy this more if it was not for the four pack format.... I Prefer Two Hearted as it is a better beer and available for around the same price and I get two more beers. But damn this is the exact thing I think of when I think of West Coast IPA... It lives up to its name. I grab a four pack once a month or so. I just crave that WC IPA taste
