As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. A - Cloudy orange, lots of carbonation, creamy colored bubbly head dissipates rather quickly leaving a thicker ring of head around the top

S - Strong hop presence, sweet and citrusy, a little malt; Overall, a really awesome aroma came outta this bottle!

T - Wow! Tastes like it smells! Definitely a hoppy beer, but so much more. It's citrusy, it's flowery, it's piney, it's just the right amount of bitter and there's even a creamy malty taste to it. Great balance.

M - Right amount of carbonation; light, clean, and smooth.

O - I'm impressed... This is a beer to savor. May have to revisit it sometime in the near future to see if it holds up, but as of now, one of my favorites.

A- Pale amber body, transparent, but with a slight haze. Frothy tan head that hangs around for a while.

S- Piney hops, citrus, sweet malt presence. Pretty straight forward aroma.

T- A nice, hop forward beer with enough of a malt presence to be on the balanced side. Big piney hops all the way throughout, with a pleasant citrusy finish.

M- Medium bodied, big presence, medium carbonation.

O- A very nice IPA that reminds me a lot of torpedo. Not a bitter mess and balanced enough for most.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tumbler

A- Pours a copper-orange color. A bit of haze. Thin, off white head. Just a bit of lacing hangs around.

S- Strong pine and citrus. A little sweet malt toastiness. Maybe a bit of a catty scent, but it isn't strong, and combined with the other aromas is actually kind of pleasant.

T- Lots of citrus peel flavor, a slight toast/grain malt character springs up as well.

M- Medium body. Long bitter dry finish.

O- Very hoppy, but not extremely bitter. I'd drink it again, but I can't say it's near the top of my list.

A - This beer is a beauty. Pour one for yourself and tell me what you think. Amber - Orange. Frothy top. I want to stick my nose into it. Okay, I will.

S - Citrus, Flowers, Grass, Resin,San Diego, California.

T - This one holds true to the sensory receptors. Tons of pine, hops, acidic citrus. Great balance in this brew. I prefer to let it sit at room for 5-10 minutes after a pour to let the complexities resonate.

M - Slippery and Wet.

O - Like many have said.. This brew is amazing.
