Notes / Commercial Description:
As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA® exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

From a 12 oz. bottle into a standard pint glass. Pours a cloudy apricot amber with a 1 finger head; excellent lacing. The aroma is fresh grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, bubblegum, and honey. The hops are complex and potent with pungent citrus zest blending into a piney fresh lemon and alcohol middle. I don't detect much malt presence except for a slight earthiness throughout. This is certainly a top-shelf west coast IPA with enough hop presence to satisfy even the most ardent hop head.

Had a 4-pack of this last night. Tasted really good, and I should know because I drink a lot of IPA.

Appearance: Pours cloudy copper with a four finger foamy head that dissipates solwly leaving abundant lacing.
Smell: From the bottle I find the aroma to be orange and pineapple. From the glass pine needle is detected.
Taste: Bitter forward in a good way. Citrusy, pine needles, grapefruitFinish is long and remains hop forward. It seems to me the malt present keeps the hops under control, but have no fear, no sweetness here
Feel: Overall, good lingering feel, smoothness

Highly recommended. High qualiity brew with year round availability.
