Hazy amber with thick fluffy head. Nice pungent hoppy aroma followed by astringent hoppy taste. Mouthfeel is normal, finish is short, but hoppy nature lingers on. Very well done imperial IPA.

The beer is a hazy golden orange color with a thick mousse like head that lasted a long time. Almost no hop aroma at all instead I get a lot of malts and a slight alcohol aroma. It smells very sweet. A nice background of fruit aromas, citrus and maybe some tropical as well. The taste is similar a nice malt sweetness to start then a nice herbal hops flavor kicks in and all of this is backed with a mixture of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Mouth coating not the typical dryness I get from this style, there is some but not tons. Little carbonation.

Very dank garlic-esque hops, big sweet malts and some pine resin, grapefruit bitterness. A lot more malty and dank than I typically like in my Imperial IPAs, but very well balanced .

Pretty standard stiff pine and citrus up front, and then some candied orange and pink/guava/jam flavors move in (Galaxy?). Im surprised to say there's a touch of cranberry too. Ample malt backbone, but still finishes dry with plenty of west coast bitterness. Also some booze on the finish, unfortunately.

Solid DIPA that falls a little short of remarkable. Certainly worth a try though.

Green Flash Brewing 'Imperial IPA' @ 9.0% , served on tap GCBF'13 & a 650 ml bottle purchased for $10
A-pour is gold from the bottle to a hazey gold in the glass with a medium size off-white head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-malty , also kinda boozey
T-somewhat smooth start , dry finish
MF-mild carbonation , big full body , a dryness lingers on the palate
Ov-good DIPA , on tap or bottle

Had this beer on tap. A nice one finger creamy and foamy white head with good retention. The color of the beer is amber with some copper hues. The clarity of the beer is clear with some carbonation bubble.

A very strong grapefruit, citrus, floral, resin, toasted malt, bread, caramel, and yeast aroma.

A big grapefruit, perfume, floral, caramel, toasted bread, and yeast round out the flavors.

The mouthfeel is creamy, carbonated, and finishes clean.

A big big DIPA, great flavors. A good malt backbone, the hops profile good. It is not overly aggressive with hops, it kinda eases your palate into this beer, I would drink again.

Hits those darker than average notes for an ipa, brown appearance. Aroma hits some hop notes, I think some of their pales and single ipas have better dry hopping than this one.

Taste just is bigger and a heavier malt bill than what I want. Heavier, woodsier, not light and dry enough, more than I wanted caramel/toffee notes. I still like its bitterness and hoppiness. At least the alcohol isn't huge, covers that up well. Still better than average for style, just wish the malt bill was lower.

Stay away from the bomber format, too high price per oz, at least go 12oz/4 pack on this one.

Eyes
Poured a hazy, deep gold body with a very nice amber glow. A nice sized bright white head, around an inch tall, formed, collapsed, and left a decent amount of sticky lacing.

Nose
Very dank. Mouthwatering citrus. Nice leafy herbal undertones. Cracker. Sweet and bready malt backbone.

Tongue
Sweet citric hops hit the tongue first. Grapefruit, lemon zest, touch of orange. Herbal hops also carried a good deal of weight, especially as the beer warmed up. Lemongrass and pine. Nice backbone of sweet malts with caramel, sweet bread, and a touch of cracker being the primary flavors. Very nice balance of fruit and herbal hops.

Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied. Moderate/Low carbonation. The malts thrived in this sparsely carbonated DIPA. Overall mouthfeel felt richer than other variants of the style.

Overall
Everything works for this DIPA. Big hop flavor without being aggressively bitter. The mouthfeel was a bit dense for my liking but it did not take much away from the experience. A modern classic that every hop-head should try!
