Pours--An opaque, golden sunset with a thick, white head that dissipates to a ring.
Smell--Tart/ sour fruit/ unripened green grapes, plum, and a touch of sweeter fruit (I got banana) followed by malt sweetness. Maybe just a hint of spice. There is a distinct lack of funky yeastiness considering the style.
Mouthfeel--Medium carbonation, medium body. Creamy, but not sticky/ heavy. Finishes clean.
Taste--Alcohol, first and foremost. This is surprising, as it does not seem prominent at all in the nose. More tart fruit followed by some sweeter fruit, as well as some general bready/ maltiness swimming around. Spiciness shows up more here; I got some peppe, and some clove. Alcohol rounds out the finish, too.
Overall--This beer just seems unfinished to me. On the bright side, it is pretty easy to drink, and has a very pleasant creaminess. However, there just doesn't seem to be a good balance of flavors; the punch of tartness and astringent alcohol overpower everything else in the taste. Also, the lack of pungent yeastiness is a big disappointment, as that's something I really look for in a good tripel. Though there's worse to be had, I can't say I'd recommend this.

Decent carbonation when opened; pours a golden, orange-yellow color, with a small amount of head; fruity aroma (not the kind I care for), with a little bit of malt; excellent mouth-feel--it feels very alive on my tongue; good flavor, with no weird or off flavors: it seems well balanced, and has a smooth finish. I am still learning about how Belgium's taste, and some I don't care for, so this one gave me a pleasant surprise. It reminds me somewhat of a barley wine. Although it is a tad too bitter (or sour) for my taste, I like this beer (my SO liked it as well), and I would definitely get it again.

L: Hazy gold under a 1” short lasting white foam collar that provides light lace.
S: Spice, pepper, faint banana, hint of clove, a slight earthiness. Fragrance is medium to medium high.
T: The palate follows the nose with the addition of orange, peach, alcohol sweetness, bubble gum and candi sugar. Starts slightly sweet and then dries out. Lingering yeast and malt flavors. Hop bitterness and flavor above average but balanced by the malt and yeast flavors.
F: Medium body enhanced by soft carbonation.
O: Complex yeast, malt and hop flavors are well balanced.

This beer is bought in may 2014 and has matured in my beercellar for a year.
Nice orange colored beer with a small, creamy, beige-white head. The beer is a little bit hazy. I realkly like that color!
Nose: Belgian yeast, fruit, pear, apple, hay, honey, spices and marzipan.
Taste: Wow! Very much sweet fruit, honey, caramel malt, banana, grass, bread, belgian yeast and citrus.
Body: Full body with medium carbonation. A complex body with a rich structure. Chewy beer! It is sweet and sour in a fantastic combination!
I didn't try this when it was fresh but I can't belive it could be any better than this. One year in the beercellar has matured the beer to almost perfection!
