As soon as I opened the bottle, the aroma was there waiting, and it was brilliant. With such high IBU you would expect nothing less, and I was expecting the same almost overwhelming with the taste, but it was surprisingly much more mild. I'm not saying that it isn't hoppy because it certainly is. It drinks like a single IPA and has a pretty good overall taste. It is by no means a beer I would wait in line for, but it is very good DIPA.

Had poured from a bomber into a 16 oz tulip glass. Upon opening the beer it punches you in the face, and it definitely does not relent as you pour in the glass. At 100+ IBU it is definitely a hop head geared beer.....but needs refinement and balance to make it a top tier beer.

With 100+ ibu I assumed I would need a glass of water while drinking this, true to its name, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It has a nice honey orange color to it and a great taste. It sold extremely well for us.

Bright orange-amber with rocky, fluffy, light tan head. Superb retention! And thick, sticky, chunky lacing, if you can call it that. Hands down, the best lace I've ever seen. No haze or flecks. Resin, sweet orange, and stewed vegetable aromas. Quite good, but not very strong. Flavors, on the other hand...They really do wreck the palate! Nothing, I can't handle, or appreciate, though. Very dank, vegetal and bitter throughout, but also a sweet, almost dark fruit underbelly. A definite and powerful black pepper retro-olfaction here as well. Outstanding beer if that's what you're into, which it just so happens that I am. Medium to full in body, carbonation seems fairly subtle, but only because of thickness of brew I think. Smooth and warming.

I was mentioning to a friend that I was reviewing this beer and she said in reply:

"I was going to make a palate joke, but it would be in bad taste."

Maybe that's funny, and maybe it isn't. But I laughed hard when I finally got it!
