Wow, what a great smelling beer. It's an awfully handsome, clear golden pour into a tulip, with a big cottony head that sticks around.

The aroma really distinguishes this brew. Sweet, juicy fruits galore: red grapefruit, pineapple, and finally sweet tangerine. Perhaps a honey/floral tea character.

Its early sweetness is all fruit juice. Yum. The hops come on as a salty, white grapefruit bitterness. There's almost no malt sweetness; the sweetness is fruit, only. Not candied fruit, just juicy sweet fruit. Once it's down the gullet, the aftertaste turns sharply bitter, white grapefruit rind. That hurts this beer.

Great medium-bodied richness. The high carbonation is great.

Got a 4-pk to put in the cellar. Drinking one bottle.

Mostly agree with my take on it above, except for one thing: the sweetness is a good deal bigger and more complex than I'd thought. There actually is malt sweetness, and a pretty good amount of it.

I'm gonna have to get another 4-pk for the cellar: when the aging knocks down the 100+ IBU, this is gonna be awesome.

12oz bottle in a pint glass.

A- Copper - golden orange color with a massive and billowy white head that lasts. lots of sticky foam lacing.

S- Big blast of citrus hop aroma, ruby red grapefruit. Some tropical stuff, too, pineapple.

T- Sweet malts, very sweet. Caramel. The citrus flavor is mild compared to the aroma. This bottle was given to me by a friend, freshness may be an issue here.

M- Solid feel and body. Sweet, sticky, and resinous. Lasting hop bitterness.

O- A bit too sweet to palate wreck, perhaps. Good, though.

Green Flash Palate Wrecker

Crash

Poured into pint glass

A: Orange to copper, copper to orange

S: Grapefruit, papaya, mango and caramel

T: Tasty, impressive that it doesn't overload you with hops. I can still detect citrus/tropical fruits with a caramel malt backbone

M: Smooth and sticky

O: I'll be back brah !
