Appearance: Clear amber, good head.

Smell: Citrus, dank odor.

Taste: Big time bitter from the start to finish. A little bit of sweetness peeks through. Dry, bitter finish.

Overall: Very bitter, but very drinkable double IPA from Green Flash. I'll have to compare it to their Imperial IPA that's in my fridge. This definitely will give you your hop and bitterness fix.

A. Copper / orange / amber appearance with an off white head of average height. Emits lots of carbonation bubbles.

S. Resinous hop oils, veggie like pine and faint malt.

T. Piney, oily resinous hop assault up front with some citrus under all the bitterness. There is some malt to balance things out a bit but Palate Wrecker sure is aptly named.

M. Nice carbonation and creaminess here.

O. I like this beer even though I prefer a bit more malt balance in my DIPA's. This would go really well with spicy food - chile, Mexican, Thai, etc.

Pours out an amber/dark orange/maroon in color with a finger white head with little retention and a little lacing. Smell is fruity with a little pineapple, orange, and a little a little mango. There is seems to be a little sweet malt in the background that gives the beer a tiny bit of balance in the nose but it's hop forward to be sure. Taste is definitely a little more malty in the mouth with a little leather and sweetness but the hops are the spotlight with the fruit smelled in the nose but more bittering hops as it's drank and slides down the throat. To be clear there is a little bitterness in the mouth but it really is more so in the throat. Mouthfeel is fairly thin to a tad thicker which is great for the style. Overall this is a nice example of this type of beer. I really like it.
