12 oz bottle - not really fresh (best by Aug 2017 - now November 2017) so I would like to try fresh but.... despite not fresh kept refrigerated and this was fantastic. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with 1-2 finger head. Caramel malt with citrus/tropical fruit aroma. Taste is sweet citrus, pineapple with distinct pine flavour followed by a dank sticky bitterness coating the mouth. Bites you and then begs you to have more. Appropriately boozy. Great!

So if you only Love in a beer is hops you can't really do too much better here cause this stops just short of a hop smoothie. I myself am a hops hunter so this is great. The look is about a 9 or 10 in srm in a clear glass in natural sunlight it is a 7. That's a little light since most DIPA is at least a 10. The smell is sweet and piny, nice and smooth with a nice thick forestry sting. The taste is pure hops. You can definitely feel the alcohol but you technically can't tast it cause of the power of the hops. The feel is heavy like a stout with a nice finish that reminds you of a morning coffee. Overall this is a Heavy DIPA that might be able to just get away within the fabled Triple IPA class. It begins and ends with the word Hops

Let’s see how 6 Lbs. of hops per barrel feels like.
It poured a copper orange color with a thick thin off-white head with decent retention.
Delicious aroma with notes of passionfruit, lots of tangerines and mango, pineapple, resin, caramel, grapefruit and pine.
Hoppy flavor that made me sneeze in the first sip (my nose functions as my internal gadget to gauge hops). Mouth delivered predominant notes of mango, resin, pine, garlic, spices, some toasted malts, grapefruit, mild caramel, tea bags and lemon. Dry and bitter aftertaste with a long but not really aggressive finish. It does not feel to have over three digits of IBUs.
Medium towards full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 9.5% is well disguised.
Although this brew has a brutal hop addition, I felt this DIPA relatively very well balanced, no room for those caramel bombs with heavy body brews we often see in the style. Complexity also showed up in several layers.
I think this could be a challenge to other brewers to do a similar beer with the same hop punch as balance and rich as this one. Well done. Not for pussies, but you don’t need to be a Neanderthal for this.

16oz IPA glass.
Pours orange.. nice and clear. Smells beyond hopped. I was getting some grapefruit and caramel (which was surprisingly holding its own). Definitely no hiding the alcohol here. It's not overpowering, but is in no way in the shadows either. Very bitter all the way through, with a chunky grouping of grapefruit and a host of flavors that I had problems trying to identify. MF was carbonated, and sharp.

Only being an IPA drinker for about 5 month's now.. I think I dove into the deep end too fast. This beer was way over my head when trying to detect what I was drinking. I love an Imperial anything, but the alcohol in this one was right in my face. The most aptly named beer I've had so far!
