*10oz tulip

A: Pours a clear and lighter copper color with some foamy white stuff adorned on top. Clingy lace.

S: Aromas are a bit muted here and hard to pull out. From what I can smell is catty with hops. Sort of musky and sweet. Some fruity tart yeast comes through as well.

T: Taste is a direct assault of hops at first. Sticky florals and some hempy herbs. Resinous but gives way to a decent amount of caramel malt backing here. Slight sweetness. ABV’s masked very well at 10.1%. Tasty and kind of reminds me of the Imperial only on malt roids.

M: Medium body to almost lighter feel for a big ol DIPA. Creamy with a sticky resinous hop mouthcoat and a bit of dryness comes out in the finish.

D: This is almost what the Imperial IPA should have been. A bit more chewy caramel body on it with that same intense hoppiness. Lowers the drinkability factor for me somewhat . All in all practices some decent balance at such big numbers.

This is their 9th Anniversary IPA? I guess they are calling it a Triple. Well glad to see Green Flash getting back to their hoppy roots. Not their best showing but a decent DIPA.

Golden, glowing orange and yellow with a thin white head that leaves lines and sheets of lacing down the glass. A gorgeous beer.

A huge aroma blitz including pungent, tropical notes, lots and lots of citrus, particularly grapefruit, and tons of pine. This is a huge blast of hop aromas.

The flavor isn't quite as successful, though it isn't far behind. This is highly bitter, highly tropical, with quite a bit of pine notes as well. There is a very warming booze note throughout.

Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation.

A very good "triple" IPA, whatever that means.
