On tap at the Pig + Fish in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Pours a hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Initial impression is grapefruit, followed by an earthy assortment, with a dry, slightly bitter finish. Moderate carbonation, medium body, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden. OK but not one of my favorites. I have yet to sample a Lagunitas offering that I would revisit.

This is close to a perfect beer for a hop-head like me. The tropical mango and pine sit on the palate ever so gently, building to a hot, hoppy finish. The '100+' IBU is much deserved on the finish, as this beer is generally only recommended for those like IPAs and then some. If I could have this beer every day, I would, I not for the 10.1% ABV. I would recommend many beers from Green Flash Brewing (more ratings pending.)

Pours and orangy opaque with medium to light white head. Smells as you would expect, citrusy pine and sweetness. Opens up predominately pine up front fades to citrus and a good malty sweetness to finish. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky but not off-putting. No alcohol burn present, only slightly boozy. Overall I love it. A huge dose of piney goodness and sweetness to balance. My kind of big IPA. I can understand how the palates of those who don't walk on the wild side of flavor-town might be overpowered by this big luscious beauty. But if you like to get jiggy with the hops....if you like Hoptimum, Resin, Gemini, then you don't wanna miss this one.

Appearance - Pours 2 quick fingers of lite yellow eggshell foam, body is a gorgeous translucent orange amber, leaves a nice lace ring after each quaff.

Smell - Really nice subtly sweet tropical, sweet ruby red grapefruit, touches of pineapple and citrus, sweet melon and papaya, and some nice floral hops.

Taste - Much like the nose, there is a nice tropical complexity here that actually leans hard towards melon flavors of honeydew and cantaloupe, right behind this are some strong floral hop flavors that really compliment the melon, and at that same moment I absolutely get a peppery kick (mentioned by another reviewer) along with a fairly assertive hop bitterness that is very much like peach pits. No flavors of alcohol here whatsoever, there is a latent heat that accompanies the potent hop-resin finish.

Mouthfeel - Just over medium as there is a little bit of weight here, and the flavors are perfectly assertive and bold, Carb is on the lower side and extremely smooth, almost slick, with just a few bright edges at the back of the tongue. Dangerously drinkable for a bigger beer like this.

Overall - Really an excellent DIPA (okay, it's labeled a "triple ipa") that has a assertive flavors with nice complexity and balance. Really nice transition from tropical sweetness to floral to a nice resiny pucker, just begging the next quaff. A must try imho.

Opaque orange amber body
Citrus hops, kiwi, mango, apricot, biscuit
Grapefruit, honey, grassy hops, bright citrus, orange, spice/pepper
Medium-heavy, a little syrupy
Delicious beer. Balanced earth tones and fruit/malt sweetness. Don't taste the booze at all

Pours a golden color, filtered. Nice head and lacing. Aroma is a funky, piney. Ok, enough of the bullshit.... This is a big, huge IPA. It's the Camaro ZL1 of beers.

Taste is pure hop deliciousness. The hop resins begin to burn the inside of your mouth almost immediately. Spicy is an understatement. Hop goodness per ounce is almost unbeatable with this one.

Keep in mind, this is a huge beer. If you are expecting an IPA, like Ranger or Rebel, you will be shocked. This is for the big boys. If you think Dogfish 90 is too big, don't buy this. But, if you think... has anyone actually OD'ed on IBUs, because I'm getting concerned... then this beer is for you.

For me, I love it.

Pours a hazy deep amber with a light head. The smell of dried fruit soaked in brandy. The hops are up front and lack some balance with the alcohol and malt. Worth a try but not my first choice.

Appearance: Slightly hazy orange in color with a crusty, sticky head with very nice lacing. Retention is very nice.

Nose: Peach, pineapple, green apple, grape.

Taste: Nectarine, banana, little butterscotch and faint alcohol heat. Some hop hotness.

Notes: They pulled it off. This was very good!

On tap at Beer Revolution.
Pours a hazy, golden orange color with a tall head. Foam settled to a small cap, rings of lace lines.
Smell is all hops, citrus and herbal, leafy hop aromas.
Taste is much the same, citrus, herbal, and pine flavors. Lots of hop bitterness, but not as over the top bite as I was expecting. Only the slightest alcohol burn as it warmed.
This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Not oily or sticky like some over hopped beers I have tried.
Overall, this is a pretty good beer. Lots of hops as expected, but still easy to drink.

I absolutely love this beer! Fantastic clean hop profile with enough sweet malt to nicely support the hops. Pours a hazy orange with a light head. Nice stank on the nose with strongly herbal hops. The taste replicates this with a deep bitterness joining in and a lingering light sweetness. The finish is long with spicy and piney hops and quite bitter- it just keeps going. Almost a bit prickly from the spiciness in the mouth. This is a superlative beer, and I'm surprised the ratings are so low overall. A definite hop-head's beer.

Just drank this one back to back with Revolution 1znuff. The aroma on this isn't anything to write home about...bready malt, molasses, and rust (?). Medium/medium light mothfeel with no alcohol burn and good head and lacing. Taste is quite malty, pineapple and nectarines with grapefruit peel and honey. Finish is light with a good bitters/clove finish. Overall, the best beer I've had from Green Flash. I Would buy it again and share with friends. This beer does need something extra to make it special. Kafir lime or Mosaic to give it a little more nose appeal would make it would class.
