Great place - surprised it hasn't caught on with more of a following.

They have a nice little market in the entrance with packaged cheeses/charcuterie and bottles of beer and wine. I always pick up a couple bottle to bring home after a meal.

Very clean and contemporary atmosphere.

The food is great, I really like the fresh baked pretzel served with cheese sauce and mustard. Burger is awesome as is the sausage roll.

Best beer selection is a 5 mile radius for sure. Sometimes the chalkboard with the list is a little out of date but there's always some great beers on tap. (Lots of SoCal beers from Stone, Green Flash, Ballast Point, Cismontaine, Hangar 24, etc.)

Highly recommend.

As a resident of Lake Forest, It's nice to have a truly local place that appreciates great beer and food. They typically have a good to great selection on draft, as well as some bottles for purchase (in coolers or shelves). Food is great but a bit pricey, and the communal tables in the bar are always a good touch in my opinion. Glad to have a go-to place in my backyard. Cheers!

I come here for the food. They may fancy themselves as a craft spot but by and large they have standard offerings on tap and for sale by the bottle to drink on the property. On the rare occasion I was lucky enough to have Abyss on draft.

Last visit a few days ago I had some Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter which is fantastic. Again, nothing to limited shows up regularly but there are always some delicious offerings and the food is great. The burgers are world class and just about everything else has been really good.

Some of the best food in town, with a large selection of craft beer. Beer selection is not very diverse, same breweries week after week.

I really like this place! Matt, the owner, is a super friendly guy and you can often see him helping out the servers or kitchen when it gets busy, when it slows down enough he will sometimes stay and talk to people and is always such a great guy to us.

The servers are all very positive and love their food and booze. If you ask they will always have an opinion ready about what is on their menu. I even had one server who did not drink tell me what his favorite beer would be if he did drink, now that is dedication!

Food wise, its a bit too much money for me, i like to eat under the $15 range if i can help it, and a lot of their food is way more than that. But if that is not an issue then this place is well worth a trip!

Thanks to Facebook Bonnie and I got a sneak peak my friend Brian Cockles's new endeavor Brü Grill & Market.

I've been waiting to check this place out for months and have to say the wait paid off. Bonnie and I loved both the food and beer at Brü Grill & Market.

Let's talk about the beer for a second. Not only does Brian plan on having 42 taps of nothing but craft, but the list is up there among the best I've seen (this include Beachwood and The Playground). I'm most excited by the large representation of local OC breweries such as Taps, Bootleggers, The Bruery and Cismontane on those taps. He is also covering a wide variety of styles something that I, as a beer geek, really appreciate. Last night for instance I had super fresh Double Jack, probably the best I've had for a while, and Green Lakes Organic Ale that Brian selected for me. Both paired excellent with the food I was enjoying. Bonnie had a West Coast IPA and Stone IPA. The Double Jack was severed in a nice fluted glass while the rest came in a 20 oz Imperial Pint so it could hold a full 16oz with head. It doesn't hurt that it also happens to be one of my favorite shaped glasses.

Then there is the bottle menu which will be incredible essentially if it's in the Market section you can order a bottle. The selection was top notch and included several beers I was shocked to find such as a case of Abyss. I hear only 11 cases od Abyss made it to OC making it hard to find. Best of all is the pricing, the price in the Market is the price no corkage. This is a recent trend that I am definitely enjoying as I generally ignore most beer bars bottle list not wanting to pay an arm and a leg.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the food. We had the Brü Crü pretzel appetizer and split a Cesar Salad and Brü Burger. The house-made Cesar dressing was excellent and the season on the fries was wonderful and nothing like the ones on the kid's menu fries.

Overall we had a great time and it was great to get to talk to Brian on what's he's been up to for the last few months.
