Best beer selection in Mansfield. If traveling from out of town, its a must. Great food, it just takes a long time to prepare.

I recently made my third visit to Martini's. The first two times it was kind of slow on Wednesday evenings. I decided to go for a beer tasting evening featuring Thirsty Dog and Mt. Carmel.

Martini's sits in the historic Carousel District. The parking lot is paved with red bricks. It is an intimate place. As you walk in there is a long straight bar on the left with a wood fired grill at the end. I would say 50 people would feel like a lot in here. I arrived around 7:30pm. The place is packed; however, I was speedily waited on by one of the owners. I checked out the patio which had some tables. Eventually, I made my way to the bar.

I checked out the beer list that consists of about 20 bottles and cans, mostly craft and imports. They are also fully stocked with liquor. The only food is wood fired pizzas. There are about 6 or eight on the menu. I ordered a pizza. About an hour later the owner waiting on me asked me again which pizza I ordered. I should have told her to forget it at that point, but I asked for it to go since I live a half hour away. Finally, I got my pizza which was about an 8 inch personal sized pizza. It was $12. I thought maybe I'd get an apology or a comped pizza or beer since It took an hour and a half to get my food, while everyone around me was getting theirs in about 15-20 minutes. I got nothing but an inflated bill.

I like the place and the pizza was awesome (I don't know about $12 awesome.) I will go back but not on a busy night.

In my opinion this was a great little place in the heart of Mansfield. Food was great, brick oven pizzas served personal size and made right in plain sight. They had a pretty good selection of beer, I selected a Founders Red's Rye Ale and it was brought at the correct temperature and was thoroughly enjoyable. The noise level was a little loud but not overly so. the lighting was dim which gave a somewhat romantic feel and can help patrons feel somewhat secluded if so desired. Overall this was a great place, I loved it, my date loved, I'll be going back for sure.

For the area its a very nice quaint atmosphere, a little small but hey your in mansfield. beer selection is one of the better for the the area, but by no means top nothch(try parrothead in shelby). prices for what your get are very fair. food is tasty. fire brick oven pizzas with premo ingredients. romantic semi dim lighting and close quaters and a very nice patio with wrought iron accents. basically if your in mansfield this is a great place to stop and enjoy an evening and get a craft beer. upscale clientel(suits and ties) but theres no dress code that i know of. hope if your in the area you check it out!
