This beer has apparently been "brought back" and was on tap February 2011 at Mudshark in Lake Elsinore.

Pours a light copper with a white head. Medium body with decent balance and carbonation. Flavors are of light simple toast, light carmel. Simple but decent and clean. Finish is a light simple bitter roasted grain, light coffee bitter. An all around light and easy brew. Nothing special but not a bad beer.

Enjoyed on-tap at the Mudshark brew-pub over my week-long stay in Lake Havasu City for Spring Break.

Pours a dark amber/garnet with a skim on khaki-tinged head. Nose is on the bland side, a subtle mix of light toasted malts and faint herbal hops. Taste follows suit with crackery malt husk and cool, minty hops. Mouthfeel is thinnish and well carbonated, well-suited for the Arizona climate. This is your typical middle-of-the-road amber ale. Nothing spectacular going on, but refreshing enough and easy to drink.

This beer pours a very dark amber color. It has some ruby red tints to it. The head is light brown. It fades sort of quickly, leaving a thin lacing. This beer smells of toasted malts. It has a decent hop aroma to it as well. It balances quite nicely. This beer has a malty taste to it. More malty than I would have expected from an amber. I can detect some hop presence in the taste as well. It tastes pretty well balanced. I can taste a very slight hint of dark fruits. Not much though. This beer is not really all that outstanding with flavors. It is just sort of mediocre. It is not by any means bad, just not outstanding. This beer goes down smooth leaving a toasted malt aftertaste. I think that this beer would make a decent session beer. It is mild in flavor, and although I do not know the alcohol content, I doubt that it is that high. I think that if I am ever at the Mudshark brewery, I will have it again.

A great surprise. Visitors brought this back from Arizona. I usually don't drink any brew less than 8%, but this was exceptional. If I like a beer that is 5.5%, it has to be good.

I've been getting into Mudshark over the last few months and decided to give this one a try. This beer pours a deep shade of amber and has a toasty, slightly hoppy and caramel like smell to it. It was exceptionally smooth, went down very easily and was disappointed I had only bought one to try. Mudshark has been impressing me recently with their great tasting beers and this one is no exception. Anyone who's looking for a delicious amber ale or even just something new should definitely give this beer a shot.

Pours a beautiful crystal clear copper, with a thin light head. The aroma is a subtle caramel. It has a light body for an amber ale but a crisp roasted flavor compliments the sweetness. I can imagine this beer being served with a hearty meat (something salty) , without the beer filling you up.
Pretty unique!
