served into my aventinus glass.

Hazy, rusty brown in color with minimal head from a semi-aggressive pour. No lacing whatsoever.

Floral sweetness, citrus, orange peel, and a bit of hops.

The taste is much like the smell, a bit sweet, definitely a lot of light fruits (in a good way), but not quite hoppy enough for my taste.

Medium bodied with a bit of a bitter stickiness at the back of the throat. Nothing bad, but nothing special.

Overall a good beer for the price (under $4 for a 22oz). Worth a try once, and if you like it then its a nice inexpensive brew to go back to.

Bomber bottle, picked by a friend while on the road at Stateline Bev. on the Maryland/Delaware line.

No freshness info to be had.

Pours heavily hazed and a dull shade of orangy amber. Minor head development, but does leave a nice looking fine film of light khaki mini bubbles. Ample strands of fine lace.

The nose is of some honey, flower, and sweet malts.

The label talks of "fierce hopping, and more hopping" but the first take away here is of more honey, more citric fruit and flowery sweetness. Lemon, orange, and honey come to mind. A few more sips and some grainy hops do come out to play, but well in the rear and really showing no major bite.

Something seems somewhat out of whack here and I'm not sure what it is. All in all a decent IPA, buts its on the fruity and sweet side with hops in the rear.

OK taste, a bit sweet and Carmel tones, not the usual ipa taste. Very drinkable.

L - Fairly dark orange brown. hazy. Thin, white head. Not persistent.
S - Mostly malt. Biscuit. Unusually light hop character.
T - More bitterness than I expected from the aroma. Sweet bready malt is still fairly prominent. Finishes with fairly strong resiny hops.

Not nearly as terrible as I was expecting. There were no offensive flavours. However, there was not a lot of flavour at all. I wouldn't go out of my way to drink it.

A: The beer is slightly hazy orange amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high off white head that died down and consistently left a thin head of bubbles covering the surface, a collar around the edge of the glass, and lacing down the sides.
S: Light to moderate aromas of fusel alcohol and orange peels are present in the nose along with some hints of caramel malts.
T: Like the smell, the taste has solvent-like flavors of alcohol along with notes of orange peels and a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No crispness is detectable.
O: This beer definitely doesn't taste like an IPA and isn't very pleasing to drink. I had no intention of finishing the bomber.

Pours a burnt orange, bordering on amber. Nice creamy head some lacing. Very grassy in aroma and flavor but also vegetal and the bitterness is harsh and not in a good intense way. It hides that flavor profile quite a bit. Somethings's off and it'a honestly kind of a mess.

Picked this up to get to a 4 bottle total to get the 10%, plus they were selling it for $2.49 for a 22 so I figured, "How bad can it be?" Good looking beer with an interesting smell, it at least had me curious. Initial reaction to taste was, well, not so much. Second reaction, not getting better. I already had a little buzz going and still was not much of a fan, which is very telling. Drinkable is about the best I can say but will admit that for the cost, well, what can you expect. Would not buy again at any cost.

12oz bottle poured into Spiegelau tulip.

Pours clear bronze with almost no head. Smell is stale malt. Taste is stale malt with a touch of citrus. Yuck... There's slight carbonation, but it's barely even noticeable. Overall just a bad beer.

This was a strange beer. It pours a burnt orange slightly hazy liquid with a good sized white head.It looks very nice in the glass. Aroma is mostly malty, not at all what I expect from an IPA, but it is pleasant enough.

The flavor is kinda muddled. A fair bit of hops but they are kinda subdued and heavier on the bitter elements and not heavy enough on the aromatics. Fairly sweet and malty, which is atypical for the style. Lingering aftertaste has the sweetness and hop bitterness competing with each other. The alcohol is obvious. Some caramel notes but it just doesn't work well with the type and amount of hops. Maybe some orange and mango notes too.

Full, almost oily mouthfeel.

I think this beer needs more tweaking. If it were a bit crisper and dryer, it might work as Pale Bock (like the old Celis Pale Bock). Or even just as an APA. But when it is described as an American IPA, I'm expecting some assertive aromatic hops.

Overall this beer is a muddied mess. It definitely is better when cold which is not a good sign.

On a positive note, it was cheap. $3.29 for a 22 oz bomber here in OKC.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Flashbacks to Bambi are never good... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear copper topped by over a finger of dirty cream foam. The nose comprises buttery biscuit, candied ruby red grapefruit peel, and a hint of random greenery. A menthol-y sense pervades, making the already clashy smell all the worse. The taste brings in more of the same, with more of that menthol character, which now comes across more like Vicks Vapo-Rub than anything. Cringe-inducing, to say the least. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda slick feel. Overall, this is just a sad excuse for an IPA, or any sort of beer, frankly. Boo this.
