On tap at Linger and served in a snifter $7. Orange color and a filmy head. Aroma was quite nice, lots of sticky fruits, sort of raised my hopes. The flavor was a total let down, it was like dirty water with a hop cone somewhere at the bottom. I asked a friends opinion before I shared mine and the response was "it could be a lot cleaner". Yep, taste muddled, muddy, and dirty.

I bought a can of this at a Denver Airport kiosk. It poured a hazy orangish with no head and no lace. The scent had some bitter hop that leaned toward pine. The taste was common with most DIPA...sweet malt against bitterness. There is nothing out of the ordinary here. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's average at best.

not up to the level of some of the other telluride brews i dont think, but its well made. honey colored with a redder tint, and a bold white head with fine lacing as it sips. a nose of west coast hops, and a curious minerality that makes it rather heavy. more sweet than bitter on the hop nose, but there is enough bitterness in the flavor for me. tropical fruits, orange melon, zesty pine, and lots of dense toffee grain. i am full after one, but i can get through about three before i am maxed out. a nice compliment to a burger or a pizza or some other quick and drity blue collar food, but not distinct from all the other really solid big india pale ales on the colorado market, i like the funky fish edition best, done with belgian yeast. it cleans up the residual sugar a little better and gives it a vibrant carbonation. this one is tasty but a little much for me.

Poured from the 12 oz can into a pint glass, carefully. A thin head that dissipates very quickly, with typical lacing. Caramel gold in color, almost amber, and it's cloudy. The nose is very fruity, citrus sweet and hoppy, with the pine smell very present.

Taste is immediately hoppy and sticky, with bitterness coming in but balanced. The malt is subtle, I get a taste of toffee. The strong citrus in the nose is not really present in the taste, instead bringing in a nice bitter edge that has a certain minerally tinge that's probably intentional. It's not a deal-breaker. They say they use "snowpack" for the water and I'm reminded of how snow tastes, very cold and like it came off a tin roof. This is better than it probably sounds.

Taste develops into a biscuit finish, and that's where the citrus comes in, slight grapefruit, some melon, and pine resin which resolves with a sticky tart aftertaste.

The carb seems heavy, and while the the booze (8.5%) is well hidden for this DIPA, it is definitely warming. I imagine 2 of these might go to your head if you're not careful. Very drinkable and subtle things are going on. While the mineral character is a bit of a "huh?" this is solid DIPA that proves they don't have to be astringent or hard to take.

12 oz can. Pours glowing hazy golden amber with a small creamy off white head that goes to a thin fil and laces the glass.

The aroma is a bit subdued - sweet caramel malt and piney, resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet nutty caramel malts and fruit with a big piney resiny bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, more like an imperial red with to nutty caramel malts and big piney resiny hops.
