Good little taproom in East Austin. They brew very good beers, and most of their distributed beers and dispensary - taproom only - beers are available regularly (I'm guessing, but I've been there 3 times and pretty consistent). About 10 beers available I think, not bad, but would be cool to see a few more limited offerings.

As a midwestern beer drinker, this is THE PLACE to go in Texas. Always something on the menu that is solid. The vibe is always on point. I am a fan from 1,500 miles away.

a really cool place, we almost missed it on our trip to austin, but enough people recommended it so strongly that we squeezed it in! im so glad we did, its mellow and awesome here. in a cool part of town and with a pretty nice large space, i couldnt believe how many hop forward beers they had on tap, it was insane. sounds like the hazy thing has made its way to texas, as a good amount of them were in the new england style. i really liked all of the beers we had in here, including a few hoppy ones and the zoe lager. awesome list of beers for sure, and kind folks serving them to us. we found a seat near the stage, and to our delight a comedy show broke out, some lgbtq fundraiser or something, very inclusive and funny and cool, a neat bit of entertainment for us while we drank on these delicious beers. the air conditioner makes for a very comfortable room in the summer, a nice respite from the heat, and the dim lighting was nice coming in from a sunny morning. i felt immediately welcome and relaxed in here, and the beer was killer. these guys have clearly put a lot of energy into their cans and getting them into new markets, i have even seen their beers in colorado now, but it was cool to check out their place! i hope some of the hazy ipa types make it out this way...

One of the best local Austin breweries. Usually 8-10 beers on tap with about half typically brewery only beers. Greenhouse series is one of the best and new sours are great.

The Hops and Grain Brewery is a cool with place with nice picnic style seating. The beer is very good and fresh with somewhat limited offerings although a coffee variation of their porter was on tap when I was there. I liked the place overall but would choose other places to visit in Austin because the seating area is somewhat small and it can get quite loud inside. In addition, they have a relatively small selection on tap served in a small pint glass. Cool place to visit once but I prefer to pick up cans of their beer at the store.

Very much a locals vibe. Not a ton of ambiance - your standard industrial space with some barrels scattered. Like a random living room. Game playing encouraged, usually food trucks. Taps are somewhat limited - 8ish? Usually a few lagers, a few hoppy beers, and some things a tad heavier. Lines for beers can get long but move relatively quickly. In a pretty great part of town so an easy visit.

Interesting setup in an interesting location. Very industrial feel located in re-purposed space. They can’t sell beer here, but they can sell you the glass and give away the beer. One of the best lagers I’ve ever enjoyed, but it was real hit and miss.

A bit different since I showed up at 12:30 on a wednesday. But it was really chill, Bob was a solid dude. And they were a knowledgable staff. Really cool guys and can only imagine how it is when it is really rocking.

I strolled into this taproom, with just the hopes of a beer. What I got was animal skulls, coffee and dancing hippies. And a few pints.
The taproom at H&G is guarded by a perimeter of barrels, while the other walls are adorned with some pretty eclectic and trippy artwork: nude ladies on blonde balsa wood and electric green deer skulls. Down the hall, every Sunday morning another business in the shared space hosts about 30 hippies dancing to tribal music.
They also serve coffee, for those time you need a stimulant, but what I liked best were their dry-hopped ales. They were exceptional.
H&G is a pretty unique place to keep it weird.

Really cool setup. $5 gets you a bunch of small pours. Zoe with Soraachi Ace hops was amazing. The Dispensery Imperial IPA was also a great beer! Best I've had in Texas.

Interesting warehouse microbrewery that focuses on sustainable brewing practices. No tvs in the tap room but there are board games available to borrow to keep yourself and others entertained if just sitting/standing, drinking, and talking are not your things. Food is available via a food truck on Saturdays. $10 gets you a small pint glass and 4 pours which is really a pretty good deal since it allows you to try multiple beer offerings. 45 minute tours are available as well but there really isn't a ton to see since it is such a small microbrewery currently. Excellent experience and would definitely go back.

The people that work at this place, the young women behind the counter, are absolutely amazing. They are so friendly, welcoming and willing to share their knowledge that it reason enough to go back.
Beers are all of very high quality, well balanced, true to style and well made. A really nice up and coming brewery worth a trip.
