Style: Märzen / Oktoberfest

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.80%

Availability: Fall

Notes / Commercial Description:
This Oktoberfest-style ale, brewed with five premium German malts, create a bready aroma, dense creamy head and brilliant garnet red color. Hallertau and Saaz hops compliment the nutty and biscuit-like malt presence while a touch of caramel and moderately dry finish continue to balance out this full-bodied beer.

A: The beer is relatively clear amber orange in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose along with some notes of butter.
T: Flavors of toasted and caramel malts are present in the nose along with notes of spicy hops.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a bit of dryness in the finish.
O: While this beer is nice and malty, there is a healthy dose of underlying hops, making it rather easy to drink. It is a good American representation of a German beer style.
