Clear yellow body, white head. Pale yeast dominates the smell and taste with earthy hops on the finish. Malt backbone is light and crisp, but otherwise the mouthfeel wispy. Beer flavored beer with a paler complexion and thinner body

12 oz bottle at La Mulata in South Beach. Bartender claimed it was imported from Cuba. Anyway, looks pale yellow when poured into a chilled cup; not much head. Smells neutral. Tastes malts with a finish of hops. No unpleasant adjuvant notes. Crispy mouthfeel. OK beer, would not seek it purposefully.

Pours orange somewhat cloudy, not perfectly clear.

Initially smell is funky and earthy, not initially pleasant.

This is a surprising bitter beer for it's class. There's not a lot of malt, or complexity or depth to bitterness. It feels like it's missing something. Mouthfeel is smooth enought, this is highly carbonated.

Pours a mildly cloudy orange color. Thin, sudsy white head forms on the beer, then quickly dissipates. Aroma has notes of soapy, almost catty hops, a bit of caramel malt, and a touch of sweetness. This may be suffering from age, but even with that caveat, it does not have much going on here.

Taste follows the nose with notes of caramel malts, a bit of grain, some earthy, herbal hops that have a touch of soapiness to them. There is a noticeable sweetness to the beer. Has a bit of a hoppy bite on the back end. Again, it's clearly an older bottle, although I cannot tell how old since its not clearly marked anywhere. The thing is that even though its not its best self due to the age, it is actually a decent enough beer to drink. Feel is light bodied, smooth, pretty easy drinking. Medium carbonation, sweet finish.

Overall its decent enough. Reminds me of a real throwback pale ale with the catty hops and the caramely malts. I suspect I would have liked it a bit more if I had a fresher bottle.

Foggy amber with a tall white foam head leaving distinct layers of lacing as it settles to a persistent blanket with a curled edge.

This that classic skunk on a beach. However, it's also a little maltier, into the caramel amber-ish zone, with a touch of catty hops accenting.

The medium body is crisply tingly and finishes semi-dry.

It's serviceable and not as bad as all that might sound.

Clear yellow colored beer with a small white colored had.

Smells very yeasty. Strong noble hop scent. Strong scent of grass and leather. Smells a bit sweet. Some caramel scent.

Starts out Highly hopped with a Hard Water After taste. Big taste of grass and yeast. Highly hopped for a lager. Very herbal. Strong but only mildly bitter. Tastes something like an English Pale Ale crossed with an IPL.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall this is great! I had limited hopes for this beer but it is way better than that. Aromatic and Flavorful. I will get some of this for the Summer Sun!

I'm going to disagree with the consensus here - I enjoyed this beer. Cold out of the fridge, for me, it was a tasty malt bomb. Nothing else, very one dimensional, but I liked it. As it warmed, it was still tasty although a tiny bit rough around the edges, but still worth it. Gold in color, nice white head with great lacing and a thin island of head, similar to the best of many beers that are rated quite well. I'm not saying I'd buy a six - I stuck it in my backpack going through the airport lounge in Miami... Cheers!

Vile brew that tastes like any hop had fallen out. Cardboard aroma, some cereal grain. Reminds me of dollar store close out beer or a bad home brew experiment. Chewy, malty taste persists on the end. Undrinkable.
