From a 16oz can, dated 02/16/22. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.

Pours a moderately hazed burnt-orange with two fingers of cream colored, lathery foam. Retention is excellent, leaving a thick, pouffy cap and a heavy curtain of sudsy lacing.

Nose is malty, dense and citrusy. Heavy aroma of orange.

Taste follows the nose, dense and malty, grainy, caramel sweetness, and dense, earthy, oily orange peel. Light bitterness, dank. Pine sap at the finish, pine sap and garlic aftertaste.

Feel is heavy and smooth verging on syrupy, medium-thick bodied but with bright enough carbonation to keep things moving along.

Overall, think burnt, oily orange peel in malt syrup which isn’t quite fair but, you know, reminiscent-of sort of thing. The can is labeled as double IPA, and the abv isn’t shown, but I’m thinking it tastes and feels like a 10%+/- triple. At any rate, I would have been happy to have split this with someone.

This is more an old style DIPA with the malts. Very good and no alcohol taste. I tend to lean toward more hops forward with lighter malts or exceptional hazy! I have more so will come back and update.

Many thanks to Ocalafox for this beer!

A - Hazy medium to dark orange, no carbonation, and soapy lacing.

S - Sweet malt and orange citrus on the nose.

T - Orange, citrus, sweet red grapefruit, and some peppery citrus rind/peel. Finish is balanced with a slight lean towards light peppery bitterness along with some onion/ garlic presence. Nice lingering flavor on the back side.

M - Full body and thick.

O - This is an easy drinking D-IPA with a well hidden ABV.

This is my favorite beer ...Period. The blend of light citrus taste, higher ABV, and no bitterness, make this a great every day beer.

12oz can served in a stemless wine glass. 01/17/19. Bought it at Captain's in Port Charlotte.

Pours a murky, hazy amber with very little head (also, it's colder than it should be). Smell is pine resin.

Taste is bitter, resinous, dank. Mouthfeel is thick. Overall, it's not bad.

Poured an orange body with minimal head and lace patches. Funky, not saison-way, but funky, spicy, dirty hop aroma. Fuller-bodied beer with some sticky, resin-like notes and some oiliness as well. Mild sweetness mixes with a powerful earthy, dirty hoppiness and dry, crisp finish.
