On Broadway just 1 block north of the Main Street run of breweries. 7venth is hip and laid back. Has a great outdoor seating area shaded by oak trees . Inside is a small bar and seating area ,thru that are more seat and the brewery tanks ,also several front table outside on Broadway Had 10 taps with generous flight pours available. Also had a cooler of 4 or mix 4PKS pounders to go. Laid back with very nice outdoor patio, within walking distance of several other breweries and eating/drinking establishments. Yes check your can dates of the mix 4 pks 2 were 6 months old.

Nice taproom with excellent outdoor seating options. Limited tap options, some fairly quirky. Kudos for dating their cans (for take-away) but demerits for nevertheless having three month old cans for sale.

My days remaining in Flowida are growing fewer, it’s true. Anywhere else we want to go or maybe revisit? Duh. We’ve seen 7venth Sun again and again and again and now once more. The best of Dunedin, a given. We hit the large product space in Tampa a few days ago but coming back up from Clearwater, well, just pull up over there (me, pointing, there, on the end of a strip of businesses on Alt 19). As usual, we opted for the shady spot parked out back…

And through the outdoor side porch. In general, there will be a dog or two there with their companion humans, you should learn their names and find out what they’re drinking. In and at ‘em. It’s a small tasting room with a 5 stool bar counter along the large logo front windows, yellow & pale green walls, a lino tiled floor, & black painted ceiling. Track spots over the bar and drop red glass pear lamps over the forward bar counter.

Order at the bar; a small ‘L’ shaped concrete topped piece over a vertical wood panel base, and seating for none as it’s really for the ‘get your beer, then stand clear’. 10 tap panel on stainless with non-descript knob handles on the barback wall fronting the coldbox. Empty 500ml house beer bottles line the panel ledge over the taps, and shirts mounted above. Vertical wood shelf piece to the left with growls, glassware, & snacks. Corner boxed unit for shirts over guest dead soldier bottles shelved with stemmed glassware, and more stems dangling from the underside. A pair of ‘strung baby skeleton’ lined square blackboards on the end list tap selections (beer, style, ABV, pricing for 4oz, 12oz, 16oz, and 32oz growlers) + flights, cider, wine, & mead, and specials in alt colored chalk.

10 beers up (When Life Gives You Lemons, Raspberry & Lemon Gose, 4.5%; Control Freak, Pale Ale with Citra & Mosaic, 5.2%; 7ungrita, Berliner with Pomegranate, Guava, Lime, Orange, & Ancho Chiles, 4.5%; Red d’Or, Belgian Golden Strong Ale with Raspberries, 8.7%; Cat Daddy, Milk Stout, 5.5%; Headbanger, IPA with Citra & Simcoe, 6.5%; Eat Beer Drink Tacos, American Lager with Lime & Salt, 4.5%; All Skate, American Light Lager, 4.5%; Mangrove, Double IPA, 10%; Graffiti Orange, Creamsicle Wheat, 5.9%).

Had a few shortys as I do from time to time to time. When Life Gives You Lemons, good fruit Gose; 7ungrita, a whole lot of fruit and no discernable Ancho-Chile to it, murky but tasty; Eat Beer Drink Tacos, it was very taco shell-like; Headbanger, Grapefruit, pine, a good IPA; Mangrove, citrus, resin, big beer. I’m thinking When Life Gives You Lemons & 7ungrita for the wins.

A row of GABF medals stacked off the corner of the bar, a Best of Florida Beer trophy shelved, and other awards atop the 3 door can & bottle cooler against the far wall around the bar bend. The duct piece overhead is pasted with brewery stickers and otherwise. Glass front cupboard piece in the front corner with hats & glassware, and ‘Hangover Day’ posters displayed. The vertical board alongside the door to the next room lists tap, bottle, & can pricing, and up above the door, a ‘7venth Sun Brewery’ piece made with letters and numbers from (probably a felony to) cut up Florida license plates. Baby barrels in the corners.

And through to the side room, another small space with red painted uppers over black lowers and ceiling with drop cylinder lamps. Bar counter space on the front wall (this one a roll up panel window garage door) chaired up, and another bar counter ledge just a few feet away, fronting the 7 barrel system to the rear. Additional seating out front on 4 raised roundies with wood & metal chairs, and the aforementioned side porch with a table or two under awning.

Samtender today, knows his game, as do all the folks here. My notes read “Tunes are sleepytime”. I’m not really sure what I meant by that. Hey! Not a full spread like the production facility in Tampa but the beers are good, you know they is. Some sourz, some hoppys, some Lagery things. When in Dunedin…

Wonderful spot in north Tampa. I counted about 20 beers on which includes some guest and cider. Tried three Mother's Day sours. Not a bad on in the bunch. Service solid and knowledgeable. Could have stayed all day

Best domestic saisons I've ever had... sampled several of the style while here and every single one was a beer I would buy every time I saw it locally... large room with plenty of picnic style tables... loads of beers on tap with a few guest taps... would be a regular here without a doubt...

Great find while in Tampa Bay. Big selection of drafts, some of which are pretty wacky and other of which are Belgian traditionals. The space itself is clean and inviting. Would visit again.

We came here for a TBBW hangover event, and the set up was more than a little awkward, to say the least. The line to the taps was out the door, which at first, makes it seem like a busy, popping, large place. However, once you get up there, you realize there is something slowing things down to an extreme degree because people are ordering one beer and taking forever doing it. Possibly payment issues.

Nonetheless, the bar is tiny AF, whether you're there on an off day or not, and smaller sized brewing equipment is so packed in there it almost seems as if it is spilling out into the waiting area. It seems they have rapidly outgrown their location, but at least on this day they had a permit (I assume) for additional outdoor drinking and had a truck outside pouring additional brews in order to alleviate the lines on the inside. There's a small picnic table area outside as well which I think is the central beer garden on a normal day.

Beer list is moderately sized for how small they are, focusing primarily on farmhouse ales and sours. The quality of the brews is fairly high, but many are clearly using the same base, some of which aren't drastically distinct from one-another.

I dug this place. Wish I could have stayed longer. Then again, I was on vacation and in a good mood coming from the beach. A lot smaller than I expected. Nice service but not overly upbeat. Beer selection was decent, and the beers I took with me were fantastic. I'd stop in again, for sure.

This is a really exceptional little place; maybe nano-sized.
Great beers, with clear strengths in Belgian influenced styles. Great IPAs, citrius & floral. Dips into some nice sours, Brett's, & Berliners with interesting wilds notes but rarely too funky.
Casual, local crowd & staff. Comfortable with some serious beer hounds.
Always try to stop in when I get to Dunedin.

Full of locals most of the time, sour funk factory of Tampa, large selection of brews on tap with the occasional bottle release, friendly staff and a huge contributor to the Tampa Bay beer scene.
