A - A hard pour yields a very limited amount of foamy head. The liquid is light amber with no visible carbonation. Not them most enticing beer I've ever seen.

S - Thankfully the nose is an improvement. Plenty of tropical fruit, some brioche, light grassy hops tucked at the back.

T - Initial flavour of breadyness along with a hint of pineapple. Middle to end of the drink is all the tropical fruit along with some citrus. Drying hops move in at the finish and continue on into a short aftertaste. Lacking in flavour and depth of complexity.

M - The start is very thin. Fortunately it builds and becomes more creamy. Soft, microscopic carbonation cleanses well.

D - Was hoping for more but the beer is quite average. Would like to call it subtlety, but it's lack of dimension.

Amber-tinged gold with loose white froth and some crust. Funk, lemon peel and Sauternes nose that opens into layers of Hawaiian Punch.
Rumors of biscuit before tart papaya, a hint of cantaloupe, and grapefruit rind hit.
Stingy end and bitter rind linger. Light verging on medium, some cling.

Moteuka and Nelson Sauvin for aroma, says the label.

Lots of tropical fruit and the IBUs do build – but keeps in check in the interests of drinkability. Very much an APA, not an IPA. Brings the NZ hops in the end.

Tapped on cask. The colour was a caramel bronze, good head retention. The smell was probably he highlight, crisp hop bite, with some lemon citrus notes thrown in. Quite inviting. The beer itself was a light and smooth ale, pleasant and has a real smoothness coming through, really sessionable. A touch more of the strong malt body coming through with some lemon oil notes , ends on a rather dry somewhat herbal character. Enjoyable and good session PA with a decent hopiness.
