I sampled this beer on tap at Lincoln's Haymarket park. The color was textbook for a Pilsner style lager. Light passed through the liquid very easily. Numerous tiny bubbles emanated from the bottom of the cheap stadium cup I drank it from which spoke well of the brewer's process. The head was dense and we'll retained, this resulted in very nice lacing. It's flavor was dominated by a bitter hoppiness. Unfortunately there was not the malt character that I look for in a beer tasting experience. Blue Blood has respectable offerings but I won't be burning through my weekly beer quota with this one again.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 16 ounce can into lager glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/straw color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, bread dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Fairly yeasty, but not overwhelming. Taste of big cracker, biscuit, bread dough, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, bread dough, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Nicely clean on lager flavors; with minimal yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/creamy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a very nice German pilsner style. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Slightly hazy, golden beer with a white head that hugs the edges of the glass for a long time. Nice bright aroma with citrus, floral hops, some maltiness and bready yeast. The taste is lightly sweet with lemon zest and flowers with some spiciness. The finish is bitter and pithy with the sweetness coming back in the aftertaste. Nice beer that I really enjoyed.

Poured into pilsener glass, light and airy head dissipates quickly. Little bit of sweetness and malts on the nose, taste is less than expected, almost like a light lager. Doesn't seem to carry the classic pilsener kick, it's just bland. Mouthfeel is very light, and wouldn't be a problem if the beer had more flavor. Overall, a fine drinker, but not what I would look for in a pilsener at all.

Pours as pale as pale can be, with a giant towering fluffy head of four fingers, receding leaving lace behind in flecks.

Aromatic spices, pilsner malt, bread crusts, and citrus peel all tantalize the nose.

A bit on the thin side for the taste, but absolutely crushable with a great mixture of bread, spices, crisp hop, and celery. Spices and sharp herbs linger on the palate long afterwards.

Feel is crisp and creamy, giving way to a delightful snap with a semi dry finish.

An absolute knockout Pils. While it's not overly crazy on flavor, it's balanced and ready for anything. I'd have it again, and possibly even buy a six pack. Great tasting, easy drinking, but not pussing out to being a light lager. This is crushable beer.
