12 oz can at Soulshine Farm.
Strongly flavored with light smoke and lots of earthy black coffee. Medium - full body.
More smoke in the finish and aftertaste.

Thanks to Grizzarky for this one. Disclaimer, I don't like coffee, so grains of salt here. 12oz can poured into 12oz Bearded Iris goblet. Poured a solid black color, no translucence at all, with 1/4 inch of dark tan head that quickly dissipated into a ring.

Strong black coffee notes punch you in the nose right upfront, and several whiffs are needed to harvest any of the underlying grain and malt notes. same on the palate, except the coffee is even stronger. It takes a fair bit of time for any beer flavor to show through.

The body was pretty typical for the style, smooth and even, with a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was tough for me, not being a coffee drinker, but YMMV. Overall, the brewers probably hit the target they were aiming for, that target just ain't me. Worth trying if this type of beer appeals to you.
