With notes of coffee and dark chocolate, this porter is roasty and rich, with a robust, yet smooth body. Toasted malts give it a sinister black color, but its crisp taste will have you believing that there’s no more need to be afraid of the dark.

Lager malt, Munich malt, chocolate malt, Bavarian hops, with the slight addition of authentic Icelandic roasted coffee.

Near black body and a light tan head. Slight nose of roasted malt. Taste of the roasted malt and a touch of coffee bitterness. Love the feel…slightly creamy mouthfeel with light carbonation. Just another well crafted beer Einstok!

Cola color with a moderate head. Nice aroma: toasted malt & coffee. Well balanced taste with lots of toasted malt & coffee flavor, not so much of the dark chocolate. Good carbonation, average viscosity, not much alcohol detected. Overall: not very complex but very enjoyable.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a tulip glass. Sweet cream and chocolate on the tongue with a bitter, burnt coffee aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel. On the lighter side for a porter.

12 oz can poured into a tulip glass.

Color is nice, lighter than most porters (bit more dark brown than black). Taste definitely leads with chocolate & malty overtones and some coffee in the after taste. Porters are not really my wheelhouse but I do know I like it. Smooth, mild & mellow.

I had this on draft 12/20/23 @ the Beer Temple.

Opaque brown appearance.

Big tan head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lacing remained.

Fresh earth, cream & mild milk chocolate notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Fresh earth & medium roast coffee bean flavors up front; cream notes on the finish.

Smooth, tasty with a nice earthiness. I'd have another!

12 oz can dated 17 Apr 23. Dark appearance with hint of orange tints when held up to a light source. Nice roasted malt aroma. Taste followed aroma, bit of a dry finish, bitterness is prevalent. Enjoyable beer, would buy again. 6 pk was $ 15.99 + tax

Very good Porter. Had it from a bottle with dinner at the Laxa hotel in Iceland. Poured a dense black color with a small light brown head that fades to a covering of the tulip glass. Minimal lacing. Taste was primarily sweet toasted malt with a little chocolate and a bit more coffee. Mouthfeel was smooth, rich, malty and with very little bitterness. A tasty brew.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is very dark brown, head is light tan and presents 1 finger thick, head dissipates to thing ring along the glass side, light lacing.

Smell is toasted, roasted malt, light sweetness, light cocoa, light roast coffee, limited hop character.

Taste is light chocolate malt, roast, toasted malt, light coffee.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, lower bitterness.

Overall a lighter porter with subtle coffee undertones.

Pours dark brown with a thick tan head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, coffee and dark bread. Flavor follows the nose. Feel is medium bodied and well carbonated. Overall, a very nice Baltic Porter.

This would definitely be a go to for me when available. Strong toasted smell and taste, even better than an Eddie Fitz, forgive me. Ahem, anyway, dark in color, as I said, aroma and taste both knockout toasted porter. Feel is just okay. poured with a decent but not huge head. Wish I had another around here!

330ml can purchased online from Halftime Beverage; stamped 26.10.22, [best by] 26/dec/2023
Vessel = Council Belgian-style tulip

P- black with a 1f tan head; looks nice
N- a bit funky, to be honest (not quite what I was expecting); a mix of dark fruit, yeast, roast, and coffee; not inherently bad, but I can't say I'm digging it
T- a combo of toffee, roast, tannins, light cocoa, and a touch of coffee; maybe some anise as well? not too shabby; unique
MF- med-full bodied, with med-high carb; some creaminess; solid mouthfeel
O- aside from the nose, I found this to be a decent baltic porter w/ some uniqueness compared to others in the style; notable mouthfeel as well; I don't think I would seek it out again, but nice to try at least once
