Happened on this while visiting nearby Sesame Place with the grandkids. (I didn't order any food, but I understand their take-out steak subs are pretty good. Hard to screw-up a Philly steak.) Frankly, I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. But I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, orderly and packed full of easy-to-see and easy-to-find, organized bottles and cans--including three walls of refrigerator cases featuring craft and import beers. Obviously, they offered some of the BMC/adjunct stuff, but it was downplayed and somewhat hidden. Craft beers were featured in all cases and on shelves throughout the store. The selection seemed endless. A lot of locals (PA, NJ) and some great regional breweries represented, as well as most of the nationally available crafts. I could have spent an hour going through each case and each aisle. Prices were perhaps a dollar or two higher (for 6 pack) than I'm used-to, but for the opportunity to buy things I'd never seen before in Maryland, I was pleased. In the end, I purchased 6 individual bottles (from Newport Storm, Susquehanna, River Horse, and Fat Head) and two six packs (both from Von Trapp in VT). I only wish I lived closer. I'd visit regularly!

Vibe/Atmosphere: Situated in an old Wawa, I love the open atmosphere and particularly the extremely clean and organized manner in which it is presented. Several isles, chest high hold a nice variety of bombers as well single 12 oz selections in divided sections. No dust covering on bottles, as this place is very well kept and clean. There is a section of bar stools facing the window near the front of the building, as well a small table seating area in back corner. This seems to be a local favorite and hangout as everyone that walked in was on a first name basis and hung out in the seating section of the establishment like a coffee shop. There is a kitchen and the food sounds good, after all, you can’t go wrong with philly cheese steaks, wings and beer in your name. Though I did not sample any food, I sure the kitchen is as clean as the rest of the establishment and would have no problem ordering here. Very nice vibe, clean and orderly, with friendly service and organized sections (ie. One for bourbon style stouts, ommegang, and a seasonal and price reduction section.) While most of the single selections are warm, there is a generous amount of cooler space dedicated to six packs for take out and specialized bombers lining the rear of the store.
Quality: I would say they had a nice variety and some high-end quality beers, a lot that I cannot get in N.J. There is a lot of unusual and smaller, yet to be discovered PA breweries that I liked. I can go to any liquor store to get the usual suspects, this seems more specialized for those looking for something different from your favorite brewery.
Service: Very friendly here, asked if I needed help, great at checkout and appreciative of the business. easy 5 here.
Selection: Nice selection and variety of styles, not just loaded with IPA’s that sell. A small dedicated section for B.A. stouts, sours, Almanac, Ommegang. I frequent another favorite not to far from here, expecting more of the same selection, i was pleasantly surprised (much less my wallet) that this had about a 30-40% difference of selection.
$$- pricing was moderate. Almanac at 12-14$ bottle seems right, 50-50 at $30 is standard. Smaller singles range $2-$4 depending on style and abv%. I’m not one to nit pick over nickel and dime differences. Its craft beer, and any place that specializes in one product, and goes through the time to single out beer so you don’t have to invest in a chance 6-pack, deserves to pass on some cost to the consumer for their time and your convenience. It should be noted, I buy mostly single beers, so I am unaware of the 6-pack pricing or comparison to NJ prices, which I’m sure is a bit more.

Great take out beer place, it's kind of my go to spot since I work so close to it. Great selection to choose from but I wish they had more rare stuff once in a while. The prices are pretty expensive here compared to most other places in the area but they do have the best selection. They definitely need to get some stuff on tap. It would do wonders for this place. Other then that love this place, they got good people working here with great service. Food, they have food?

The first thing you notice upon entering is how clean and organized the place is. Several rows of warm bottles surrounded on the walls by well stocked refridgerators with sixers and singles. Definite focus on bomber bottles here but the one thing I did notice is there are a good number of older beers here, and for the novice it may be deceiving as the bottles are dust free and mingled in the newer finds. It is summertime, and some older winter warmers and other christmas beers are still here.
All in all a good selection of breweries here from Alesmith, Pretty Things, DFH, and Brewer's Art. My lone problem is the pricing - pretty outrageous in some situations - some of the beers I can get in NJ were easily several dollars more per six pack. I saw several bombers at $19 and up, which were more of a restaurant markup than a bottle shop markup.
Service was very friendly, asked if I had any questions, and were prompt in checking me out. There is food to go here, but I did not pick anything up.

The selection is fantastic. I am a local and have wanted a quality bottle-shop in the area forever. I am a seasoned beer vet and I've been able to find new and exciting beers here every time. They have all the best standards and bring in a lot of variety from smaller breweries. I've been able to find beers here that I had only read about online.
The staff is great. Candice is always helpful and knows a ton about beer herself. I always respect a beer distributor when I can have a good conversation with another beer nerd.
I will say they have a few beers which seem over priced, but the vast majority are incredibly inexpensive for the quality.

A: A few coolers of beer. A few shelves of beer. And a big grill for food. A few tables to eat in as well. Nice.
Q: Very clean, and plenty of parking. Lots of room inside too.
Ser: Super friendly, and always available. Super willing to help, and order something you may want. Super polite.
Sel: Nothing amazing, but still some decent picks. Weyerbacher, Founder's, Bell's, Stone, a few Cigar City; the basics.
V: Typical PA pricing; over priced.
They aren't beer snobs or beer nerds; so do not buy what they suggest lol.

Well this place will be my number two. The other spot I go to usually sells out pretty quickly of the "highly valuable" beers and this place gets the same shipments as they do. A nice little gem to find something although the price is a little more expensive than others in the area.
Nice store front, the old wawa building has been completely done over with a nice beer selection. I love it. Cashier is set towards the back right and the grill and kitchen take over the entire right side of the building. Coolers are back and to the left and a wrap around bar that edges the storefront windows. Atmosphere is kind of quiet and cashiers are very nice and pleasant to talk too. Selection is one of the best in the areas and not alot of stuff jamming the floor space, very wide open.
They did have some KBS stashed behind the counter and I was able to get some. Always a plus. Stop by and check it out.

Philly’s Steak and Beer is a must on the I-95 corridor. This place is new and the owners are hanging it all out for the beer nerds. I walked in and asked for a cold Le Freak on a Tues. and ,bam, right there it is. You may feel lost finding such a jewel in a oasis of mall chain stores and mega case package stores. All the goodies include domestics and Belgians galor. The Brewery, Avery, Dogfish Head, Green Flash, Chimay, and St-Feuillien. Seasonals and limited releases in everything. This one of the few sources of 120 min Dogfish and other new releases.
The Burgers are good made with fresh meat as well. Great place to catch a brew and a game, plus take some home.
